What you don't really see in the web videos is that the screen starts to vibrate and shake subtly the faster you go. Its a nice touch

I had a big COD phase at one point in time. . Its all about competition. Anything peripheral doesn't matter.
Never though COD would pique my interest again, but there it is.
I own a copy of the full retail version. I'd say play the ps+ version before committing. Plus I think you get a discount after that if you choose to upgrade (not completely sure)

Just stop. I have been playing forza for years so if I compare things from it to a new title it's because it's familiar. Not better. Not worse. Fh2 isn't perfect either.

Dc is decent. If you strip the graphics away, it's fairly stripped down and small. It's fun but not nearly as expansive and engaging as fh2. Fh2 almost has gta or burnout paradise addictive qualities to it just because there are so many areas to explore and things to find and do... Plus tons of types of things to do including just taking casual road trips with friends or other players.

Graphics are good. Especially the lighting. Late afternoon makes any track look beautiful.
The windshield reflects the dash and wheel (similar to fh2)
Nice details include whipping up little particles of I assume plant life or something on the sides of the tracks
Has a cool thing that allows you to send challenges to other players. Seems kinda similar to rivalries in forza/fh2 but menu driven

I assume the server issues are just because they are ironing out the kinks and getting set up before launch. i wouldn't be too worried yet. and it was only a couple of times.
Not sure about the ps+ version. I assume it will be available Tues. I got an early copy of the game through work.
i've never really expected the xbox to do well there. they don't feel the content caters to them and they also have fierce loyalty to their own country - completely understandable. i think it can do well there but it would take a reprogramming of existing perceptions and a list of titles that cater to that specific market.
i played it all night and again this morning. go nuts. i'd also be curious to know what you think about it. some occasional server issues are the only problems i've experienced.
as someone who is friends with tons of devs on top of knowing and working directly with tons more, they would never do that. they want each version to be the best it can be. the only time a version holds another version down is when a last gen title is involved and they have to share assets... or... if one version can't hang the other version gets a round of reduction... reducing polys, downgrading texture etc.. the actual resolution output is not hard to set. in fact its simple to ch...
