The Win8 interface is designed for tabets. you right click and instead of getting the menu near the mouse, the menu for what you can do after right clicking appears at the bottom.

Number of games the parent company produces is not a relevant point when looking at if their services are competitive.
EA's PC games can be bought through many channels, their competitors. that means EA's Origin is fighting for your dollar against its competition even for its own game. They are competing against Valve for you to buy Crysis 2 on their platform than on Valves. that's competition.
