Yeah, I was gonna say--have you *seen* the average fanboy? They'll defend *anything*.

I don't have any disappointing games of 2015. But I don't really pay attention to marketing hype, and also have good taste in games, so the games I do play tend to be awesome.

Seriously, though, 2015 was ****ing incredible.

Trails in the Sky SC quickly became one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Not to mention Pillars of Eternity. Plus Nobunaga's Ambition, Shadowrun Hong Kong, Tales of Zestiria, Trails of Cold Steel, Bloodborne, Sunless Sea, Xenob...

...Because different branches are led by different people, catering to entirely different consumers? This ain't rocket science.

Yeah. Now all we need is Suikoden V up as a PS2 classic or (better yet) emulated on PS4, as evil as that is, with the hope that the more powerful emulator could reduce loading times.

But, yeah. Double yeah. Whatever. If you're a JRPG fan and haven't played Suikoden II... well, you're *not* a JRPG fan at all, now are you?

Both of which are on PS4 as well. So hardly "swan song" material.

It's more than a typo. Virtually everything in that sentence is ass-backwards wrong.

And it's not like the rest of the article is any better. If you don't know what the term "cautionary tale" is... you shouldn't use it.

In general, this is good advice: never use words or terms if you don't know what they mean.

Not everyone can be Steam.

Not that it wouldn't be nice of some of the others would *try* once in a while.

There is a lot of crap, yeah, but you didn't look closely enough.

Persona Q, Super Mario Galaxy, Monster Hunter 3 and Shovel Knight are all top-tier games.

Honestly, I think only two games have ever really managed to do "open world" game design well. I'm not saying that the other open-world *games* are badly designed, just that their open-worlds aren't well-designed.

The two games I'm thinking of are Red Dead Redemption, because all of the random NPC events and the whole dynamic wildlife work really well to make it feel like you're in a living, breathing world... and The Witcher 3, mostly because of the...

Not super exciting, but better than the nothing we have been getting.

Untertale and Her Story were two of the most talked-about games of 2015. I don't think anyone missed those.

No shit.

Just more proof that the idiots at N4G will approve literally anything.

We can only hope.

Falcom has never been super-good at visuals. That said, I am pretty impressed with Cold Steel. It's easily among the best-looking Vita games.

Great discounts for bad games and bad discounts for... slightly above average games.

So, yeah: underwhelming. Last week's generic deals were better than these.

That's an "insanely low price?"

As if we needed any more evidence that gamers are perceived as being the most gullible consumers out there....

Maybe the idea that Nintendo could ever be "in-sync with the times" when they've consistently demonstrated themselves to be about a decade behind anyone else?

But, yeah, thanks. It's always nice when the first commenter of a shitty article warns others of its shittiness. Also remember to downvote sites like this!

In my list of the 20 best PS3 games, TLOU isn't even an honorable mention.

So LMFAO at your terrible taste.

3198d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

True enough, but the PS3 did have more (and better) JRPGs than its competition.

And I sincerely hope you picked up Cold Steel this week, because it's certainly one of the best (if not THE best).

I was a big fan of the PS3.

The PS4 and its lack of basic, fundamental OS features--most notable digital content sorting options--along with their penchant for selling cheap ports while withholding backwards compatibility... that's where they lost me.
