What a stupid hook. Has any Zelda game ever felt "like a game to skip?"
The spectrum of quality for the Zelda series is very small. It ranges from "classic" at the highest end, to, at the lowest end, "very good."
Pretty much all of the good games on the Playstation Vita, Microsoft Xbox, Sega Dreamcast or Nintendo Gamecube, which are all criminally underrated by virtue of being on consoles most gamers don't want anything to do with.
Not to mention every single PC game from before 2005, thanks to the massive influx of graphics-whores.
It's terrible. Are we really going to trust the statistical data of a person incapable of simplifying 150:30 to the proper 5:1?
I hope to God this gets localized.
Mass Effect basically stole the setting and main plot from Babylon 5, and made it stupid. As for ME being superior to B5, that's laughable. ME's got a good sci-fi setting for a game, but not for the genre as a whole.
Also, Chubby, the film you're thinking of is Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress." Why I'm bothering to educate you, I'll never know. What Lucas "ripped off" was the perspective more than anything else--both The Hidde...
You know, I've seen dozens of reviews for Wind Waker cross the scroll here at N4G. This is the first one I've noticed with an appropriate score.
There are simply too many to count. I'd like to list a few that I'm particularly fond of, though I KNOW I'm forgetting many.
Let's pause a moment and remember:
Volition, developer of Freespace
Micropose, developer of Mechwarrior 2-3
BigHugeGames, developer of Rise of Nations
Relic, developer of Homeworld 1-2
Enix, developer of Dragon Quest 1-8
Squaresoft, developer of Final Fantasy 1-10
LucasArts...
If Suikoden 2 doesn't come this year, I'm prepared to consider Sony's PS1 Classics line,s performance this year as -worse- Than Nintendo's VC performance in the same span of time--no small feat.
There's a big difference between "cheaper than expected" and "cheap."
And they make their money back on hardware losses by selling software. They're charging for online so they can make that money back faster, and hopefully provide a better service than the current PSN.
Indeed. It's THE deciding factor for me. If it's true, I will buy a PS4. This year. If it's not true, I only might buy a PS4 sometime in the next decade.
Funny, I thought that trend reversed years ago. Who the hell is going to the store these days and grabbing a 360?
Thought they did a while back. Zestoria, isn't it?
...Because it is under development. Android and iOS.
And virtually none of the "important SNES games" are there, zero N64 games are there, and zero GBA games are there.
That's just what the series needs, breaking the HD ports over two platforms.
As if Kingdom Hearts wasn't fractured enough already.
To be fair, the "Wii," "WiiU," and "3DS" also sounded like jokes at first.
The only reason Nintendo is able to get away with it is because the brand (i.e. the actual word "Nintendo") is synonymous with "game console."
No. Because the kind of remake people want is something like Advent Children, which isn't true to the source material.
I'd much rather see a more conservative remake like the remakes of FF1, FF2, FF3, and FF4 on the PSP. Just give me some high-resolution backgrounds, re-done cinematics and crisper 3D models and I'll be happy.
I guess I should have expected that the vast majority of N4G users wouldn't understand so simple, obvious a joke. But still.
Goddamn, people.
Holy bullshit, Batman!
Drakengard 3 is Square-Enix' attempt to make some money, and nothing else, because all Square Enix is doing is PUBLISHING the game.
A publisher is not a developer, people.
My response was: I'd rather NOT eat Taco Bell than get a free PS4.
Sorry, no. There's a big difference between "legendary" and having a large cult following. And if you think every gamer over 15, or of any age, is familiar with the libraries of those platforms, I hate to say it, but you are very out of touch with the average gamer.
The average gamer plays the latest Call or Duty, or Farmville, and little else.
