If that rate continued it would sell 0.9 million in a week. Even though it won't reach that target the fact remains that it's an impressive statistic.
Ok wow...
That was almost longer than the article itself.
Thing is, some of the old educational games were actually good games! I loved Zoombinis! Hell, I own all 3 and still play them for the fun of it, I'm way beyond the recommended age group but I still find it fun.
More Prologue talk... this could be interesting.
Looking forward to it!
If I saw this in a store I would just think they are offering to set up your console for you, not the game in particular. Not that it's terribly hard to do, but neither is installing RAM or a new HDD.
To be fair, it's almost always Fridays in the UK. I reckon that's why Tesco claim the 25th, because it's a Friday like they are used to.
There's no score because it comes from the Daily Telegraph, not a gaming website.
Although it does say something that a newspaper which normally reviews Books and Films is talking about this, with a note on the front page (of the real paper) and everything.
Hopefully someone corrects me if I'm wrong, but I think the best selling console is the PS2, since the best selling platform is the Gameboy (Not including the GBA)
I would hope you're being sarcastic, given what this article is actually about.
They should put that on the box: "Best at almost being the best".
Trophies, Rewards or Accomplishements are OK with me. I just want the system to launch. It would be nice if it was a requirement, but Sony want to remain an "open" platform, so the fewer rules and regulations the better.
The store shouldn't slow down every week because people will not have to download ALL of the icons, just the new 2 or 3.
And if the store is slow when the beta goes online, so what? You've got about 5 days to download it before you can use it so there's no rush.
Unlike the fake home countdown we saw a while back this one doesn't use your system clock as a source, so no fast forwarding :(
We are supposed to get a LBP Beta at some point aren't we?
Sweet. I look forward to listening to this at work tomorrow.
Europe does get left behind with some things, but on the other hand we got Prologue before the states and we're getting the MGO beta without needing to pre-order.
It doesn't make sense to be left behind with some things, but have such substantial benefits in other cases.
At least the store update is simultaneous.
I had planned on taking the day off just to play it... but something else has come up and now I've got the day off, but to take a friend out for the day. So there's not going to be much carjacking for me on that day :(
I'm tempted to see if I can do the gold challenges with Portal now. There's a voice in my head (which soudns remarkably like GLaDOS) saying "How hard can it be". Something tells me listening to that voice is a bad idea.
Let's just say my girlfriend loves PAIN, every time she comes over she insists on playing it. If you can play multi player, it's insanely fun. If you're just on your own it'll be boring within 20 minutes. So if you've got a few controllers and some friends it's definitely worth it. (The downloadable characters don't add much at all, but they're cheap).
Nice addition to the package none the less.
I won't get a chance to listen until Wednesday, but I await it eagerly none the less.
Thanks again guys.
