Sheesh, I'm on holiday for a week and still the first to comment. Oh well. Looking forward to listening to this at work all the same. Thanks guys.

Yeah it's nice, but I really don't see why everyone is making such a fuss. Can anyone tell me why this particular feature is exciting?

Long cutscenes: Fine.
Short cutscenes: Fine.
Long Installation: Fine.
Short Installation: Fine.

I don't care what they do, it'll be epic regardless. And I think everyone buying the game knows this.

They're just trying to gather hits. Saying GTA is awesome gets them hits, saying they've stopped playing it gets them hits, and that exact hypocrisy generates articles like this which, in turn, gives them hits.

Intentional or not, this earns them money.

It's true, taking 10 minutes out is a great way to focus yourself when you get back to work.

(Or just listening to the N4G Podcast while working, that helps too).

If you're concerned, buy Wii Fit and get your fat room mate to use it, that should kill any sexual tension in the room.

For everyone else, isn't there a Wii Stripper Pole due out? If that isn't aimed at increasing sexual tension not much is, surely!

June starts in 2 days. Metal Gear is in 2 weeks. Somewhere in there is going to be a pretty sweet firmware update.

Although come to think of it, even if it is after MGS4's launch, will anyone care? I don't know about you guys but I'll be too busy playing MGS to worry about stopping the game to access the XMB :P

But yeah, great news!

Perhaps no *current* high spec PC could keep up, but the PC is a constantly evolving platform, so if you have deep pockets it will almost always surpass the consoles in graphical capability. Frankly I'd rather have the console and a positive bank balance than the minor graphical improvement.

Vista is commonly seen as being bloated, slow and incompatible. Once Windows 7 rolls around, hardware will be much more capable in your every day machine, so it won't seem as slow, the bloatedness will be worked on by Microsoft and compatibility issues will probably just come with time, Vista is almost there.

Or the whole thing could sink like the Titanic, who knows. Point is most of us don't need to care for 2 years.

Well... that was... epic!

Floating Point Operations Per Second should be FPOPS. But a bit of creative license is always a good thing :)

Wow. I had no idea how much theoretical power the PS3 actually had, no wonder they put Folding@Home on there.

Still, the multi-platform games show that power isn't everything.

The point they are making here is that millions and millions of these consoles are made, but at some point they will be thrown away. Then what happens?

One of the things the article picked up on was that no other genre in the entertainment industry suffers from this, movies for example don't (often) get delayed for months at a time. But the thing to remember is that games aren't quite the same, they are software, not films.

And yes, I agree that I'd rather only know about certain games about 6 months before release, but GTA and MGS for example are just not going to work like that. Sequels of popular franchises are always going t...

They could have just called it GH4 if they wanted to stick with four, I think they just wanted something new.

Haha, good one.

Although you'd need to split these cutscenes in to 9 parts just to fit them on Youtube.

My first playthrough of MGS2 was 14 hours. After playing it through several other times, (using a guide book to do this) I managed to finish it in about 95 minutes.

So if MGS4's story is around 28 hours on a normal playthrough, keeping the same ratios means a speed run will be about 3 hours. Though something tells me it will be longer than that.
