I liked Moore. I hope that whatever his personal reasons are, that moving back to the bay area solves them. Relocating hundreds of miles from "home" for a job can be rough on a marriage and a family. I hope it all works out in the end for Peter.
... but you had better hope and pray there are very few users purchasing the PS3 as a Blu Ray player. Why?
Because if the long running trend on video game consoles holds true, then Sony is likely losing money on the PS3. Not as much as they were at first, but its long been the case that the console is sold at a loss to get the console on the market and then make up the loss through video game licensing.
People buying the console for a Blu-Ray player means no gam...
"Hype" on this website are determined by number of comments and the time between them, the more comments and the quicker they are posted the "hotter" the story.
Killzone has had at LEAST 65 stories in the past week, half of which have been flame fodder that have gotten Xbox and Sony fanboys flaming each other into kingdom come.
And then of course, there are Sony FanFags like you who create a new account, get stripped down to one bubble because...
1. I LIKE paying for the Live service. The idea that $50 a year is some kind of big drain for users is a ridiculous argument in the first place. Users buy $50 worth of games without thinking of it, but when you ask people (crybabies) to spend $50 on the ultra-pleasant experience of Xbox live, and then they cry this big river of salty tears. I like paying for a reliable, centralized system that makes matching up with other players easy and fun.
Further more, I think Microsof...
... From the National Inquirer to your "bud."
And then came on this site and made the whole f-cking story up. You are aliar and I relish the day you are down to one bubble so you can shut the f-ck up.
So it doesn't matter WHAT IN THE F_UCK KOJIMA SAYS. If Konami wants to avoid taking a God damn bloodbath on a game and not put it exclusively on the console with half the install base of the 360, they will do it and tell Kojima to STFU because he's an EMPLOYEE.
End of story. I don't like MG, and never have. My point was, I want to hear it from the president of the developer, not the "artist" who made the game.
Period. Metal Gear is a Konami property not Sony. Sony has tossed around the word "exclusive" way too much this E3, even when we know damn well saying UT3 and Haze are "exclusives" is a falsehood.
When Konami's president says its likely to be multiplatform, and then Sony makes this "declaration" of exclusivity, I question the truthfulness.
When it comes from Konami, I'll believe it, until then its just Sony Bluster.
KILLZONE 2 WILL NOT BE RELEASED IN 2007.
What the hell is wrong with you morons that you think this game is a Q4 07 game?
So you have UT3, which may or may not be timed, and Haze which is definately a timed exclusive. Halo 3, will never, ever, in a billion years, be on a Sony system.
Whether you like Halo or not, doesn't much matter. Its selling 7 million units in Q4 no matter what you say or do.
First, I question the source linked, but if its true then, Ubisofts loss.
I would have bought it for 360, but there is no way in hell I'm buying a PS3 for one game. I don't like MGS or FF, so the whole system has exactly 3 games I'd consider playing right now. Not worth it.
FYI, they are Resistance, Haze, and Killzone.
Its to make Wii-type casual gaming more appealing to users who already have a 360.
For example, my wife will never play Halo, but she enjoys many of the arcade titles. We play board games and Catch Phrase with 2 of the couples we are friends with and Scene It would be a neat game to play with them, this will add another layer of interactivity for the 360.
... of your intelligence and judgement is poor.
... you are watching the gametrailers version over a 56k modem doesn't mean the rest of us didn't love the HD trailer on 360 marketplace immediately following the press conference.
$50 on about September 1, 2007. Thats my call. H3 will help push 360 sales through the roof.
What is it with all you Sony FanFags coming on here and creating new accounts just to go snipe on 360 titles?
So WHAT if Killzone looks better than H3 (which is a dubious argument at best). What about simple logic do you retards not get? THERE IS NO INSTALL BASE FOR THE PS3! There are more pre-orders for H3 than there are sold PS3 consoles! Why is this so hard to understand?
So Killzone 2 comes out and sells 250k units. Whoop-de-do. Its not a console moving ...
This is such short-sighted idealism.
In THREE years the Cell processor will be old news and outpowered by a newer and more powerful Nintendo or xBox product.
Staking your claim on one product for 10 years while the competition is planning a new product in half that time is bad news and thats just simple basic business strategy, no fanboyism.
.. and already you've lost a bubble. Take a hint and quit being an ass ramming sony fanfag. If you don't have something nice to say, SHUT THE F_CK UP!
... how many bubbles you've lost due to this comment.
Ass packing Sony Droids are so terribly afraid of someone else's opinion...
In 2-3 years, I'll be getting ready for the next xBox. I don't care if the HD-DVD drive works or not because I'll be selling my 360 anyway.
Meanwhile, the PS3 will still be getting ramped up for the remainder of its 10 year run and being totally outflanked by the new xBox.
If blu-ray becomes the standard bearer, the next xbox will likely support it, and the war will be over.
Its a MS exclusive. Its being developed in conjunction with Microsoft Games studios.
Its still listed on xbox.com if you search for it.
The fact they bumped it off the list can mean anything or most likely nothing, but it surely isn't going multiplatform as Sony FanFags would dream.
... what it could be, but Moore likely just spent 10 days immersed in Xbox preparing and participating in E3. Who knows what might have happened at home during that time. His wife or children may need his full attention and his role at MS took a far backseat to his family. If it truly is personal matters, I applaud him and think more people should put their families ahead of their jobs.
I find it highly unlikely he got canned.
