The PS3 does not support wireless N. So, for those poor SOB's with a PS3 and no wired connection, you are stuck with 54 mb/s.
Wireless N on the other hand (again, no PS3 support) is 300 mb/s.
While the PS3 does support gigabit LAN, the 360 does not, so the only way to get a faster connection than 100/t for the 360 is to go this route, and purchase a wireless N router.

Thousands (maybe tens of thousands) of people bought Halo Wars Collectors Edition to get the Halo 3 Mythic maps. In fact, I would venture, more people bought the SE than the standard, if they are Halo fans.

But I did consider buying a PS3 to use as a Blu-Ray player when the cost came down. But then it never did.

You know, I've been thinking about the future of consoles, and I have a feeling we might head back to cartridge based games.
The restriction that led from cartridges (faster load times and more reliable) to optical media (cheaper) was simply storage capacity.
In a few years (perhaps even by the end of THIS year) flash memory will be very inexpensive and could lend itself to becoming integrated console cartirdges that load faster with large storage and less suscep...
