As someone who originally started gaming playin C&C and its successors, I am totally pumped for this game, and the interface looks SO much more refined than the interface was for tiberium wars. I cannot wait for this title to hit next fall! 2008 for the 360!

I've not had a single problem with my 360 and its from January of 06. I also cannot hear the unit as I have an actual sound system which easily masks the fans at all times (except loading).
My numbers are slightly flawed as I used his 8 million number to represent NA sales.
I used 1.5M PS3 because thats the NA number and I assume the preorder numbers are NA. I could be wrong on the area that these numbers represent.
Either way, Halo 3 will still sell more units in its opening week than the PS3 has sold since launch (in North America) thats just math.

Therefore, your annalogy would be incorrect.
You could say however, that they started digging at the same time but MS was using an earth mover and Sony was using a shovel. That would account for MS's increased market presence.
Console sales are frankly, irrelevant. The important number to watch is attach rate and software sales.
LOTS of consumers are buying the PS3 as a Blu-ray player which is great for the Sony Blu-ray division, and a poison pill to the gaming division because Sony, and Microsoft as well, LOSE money on the console to make it up on game licensing.
You Sony folks can run around screaming about console sales after the fake price drop, but the truth is that its not goo...
The trailer gave no real idea of the story to come, and the lack of any kind of linear arc in the trailer was unfortunate.
Still, H3 will sell a ton of games and win this Holiday for the 360, possibly the last holiday they will win this generation, so I'm pumped to FINISH THE FIGHT!
