More people like Megaman, Venom, Carnage, and all the other characters with more votes than RR. It's a poor choice when you consider all the other potential options and the results of Capcom's own polls.
IT should have been a free patch for spectator mode and the balance tweaks with DLC for the new characters, AND the option to buy the whole game as UMvC3 only if you don't have the original MvC3.
We haven't forgotten the reason spectator mode wasn't included in MvC3 was because, "That is technically not possible with this engine in this game" according to Capcom and S-Kill.
Games cost LESS now than 15 years ago. In 2011 dollars that old copy of Streets of Rage you bought for 64.99 (which was actual retail for that cart on Sega GEnesis) now costs just under $96 USD.
Games used to cost $50-65 USD retail back in the early 90's and they still cost that much. Keeping the retail price the same through 15-20 years of inflation would equate to LOWER prices.
Not a fan of Worms in 3D. My favorite Worms games are all 2D.
I'd need 2 sets. One for me and one for my wife. I don't like golf, so the Tiger Woods game is out of the question. There isn't enough to do with the Move just yet for me to want to buy it. If it was $50 each, I still wouldn't have it. But if there was a large batch of great games, they could price it at $200 each and i'd still get 2 of them, as long as the games were awesome.
I do have expensive peripherals for games I love. Guitar Hero pieces, X-...
I'll probably pick it up if/when Sorcery comes out. However, when I do pick up the Move, i'll probably buy at least 2-3 other games as well.
I'm surprised there hasn't been a Quiddich Sports Simulator game for the Move. You'd think that would be a license to print money!
How about a workout game that lets me complete workouts with friends in real-time? Avatars or PS Eye Video would be fine. That would allow games to be both a wor...
Maybe they should have spoken with the Warhawk Devs. I hear maxing out in that one is a big time commitment also.
I really never played any arcade gun games after Revolution X and the Terminator one (I started on Operation Wolf). I'm not sure what kind of game would encourage me to pick up the Move, but this is certainly not the one.
It is indeed a good game, but the investment in the Move is still more than I'm willing to spend to play only a few games. Maybe a couple more No More Heroes, Quality workout, or other non-FPS games would do it. Using the move as a gun periphera...
I hear Capcom will also be offering release-MONTH shipping if you order direct from their store. I'm still bitter about that. I waited 16 days to get my "release day shipping" copy and when I called in about the item they were offering folks who had their copy delayed by the shipping company... I was NOT someone who had their shipping screwed up.
Charging for balance tweaks? FAIL Charging for spectator mode (which was claimed to be impossible on MvC3)? FAIL....
I think the title should be "Very good for what it is". As written it sounds more like a question. ;-)
Seems like a little bit of an over reaction, but I suppose more words have been written about smaller amounts of money than $10.
If you want to get angry about something, we can talk about the impending release of Ultamite MvC3. That's BS. ;-)
Krueger not Kruger and Jason's last name is spelled "Voorhees" (for whenever they add him as DLC).
I wouldn't own a PS3 if it was not also a blu-ray player. I think console makers understand this concept. The US doesn't have enough broadband coverage for consoles to rely mainly on downloading titles. More and more ISPs are instituting data caps rather than investing in upgrading their own broadband networks, and this will hamper both downloading whole games and the use of services like OnLive. There will certainly be optical drives in the next generation of consoles.
If the Capcom store intends to ship the game in November, those people who pre-ordered and opted for release-day delivery should see their copy arrive three days before Christmas.
Yeah that does clear things up a bit, but it looks like between here and your original post, you've had to type more letters explaining the piece than are actually contained in the piece. ;-)
My issue with MK was the physics and how the character models looked awful when moving.
Too bad with that online pass deal, more people are going to see that "story" than actually play other people online, which is a shame (unless they haven't fixed ...
Reminds me of the Dreadnaught from the Jason Statham version of Death Race.
Hmm estimated 8-14 hours of story, that's probably going to be an issue for some people. For most games i'd say it's not enough, but i've enjoyed full-priced games of that length before and felt I got my money's worth (Portal 2 comes to mind). The demo should be ready to go when I get home from work today, so we'll see.
Seems like this is a reaction to the news that a group of movie studios intends to increase the licensing fees they charge Netflix by 10. I believe last year Netflix paid about 120 million for licensing, and this group of studios released a statement saying they want to charge 1 billion for the licensing on their next contract. Seems like posturing and a negotiation tactic rather than a serious price increase. Regardless, it looks as if everyone will be paying more very soon.
Even without precise motion control you can still do awesome things with the handheld screen. Having a handheld screen would be awesome for someone who wants to develop an honest version of a tabletop/ pen&paper RPG. The game master gets the small screen and uses that to reveal maps, spawn monsters, and cue up dialogue. You could GM an entire game without worrying about getting your precious miniatures covered in Cheeto dust. :-)
Can I get this functionality with Vi...
I'm sure the frequent iterations of DS hardware didn't help either. After a while you just quit reading news about new DS units as it become sort of white noise on blogs and such.
In addition, there is a section of the population that can't use that tech without getting nauseated.
