The writing's on the wall my friends. It's indeed true, consoles are in serious danger.
How long as it actually been since there was any significant sales activity in the consoles industry? I mean, we'd be hearing about console games breaking sales records and whatnot, right?
Facebook on the other hand is fast becoming the platform of choice for all gamers, with cutting edge titles like Pet Society and the highly anticipated Farmville. Just look at the midnight launc...
Would like to see that also.
Seriously when games are rendered (at 30fps) via real time ray tracing, global illumination/radiosity, and fully geometrically calculated 3d motion blur (this goes beyond camera and object movement to include character mesh deformations), people will look back at anything running at 60fps this gen and rightly view it as being in a league well below.
There's actually a trick to motion blur that some games miss the mark on. The way you have...
Graphics are worth 10 times what framerate gives you.
60fps has a certain quality to it that's definitely really nice, but film and TV run at anywhere between 25/30 fps depending on formats and regions, and there are no problems with frame rate for the viewer.
The reason (as stated), is that most things shot on film have a natural motion blur that we're completely accustomed to and view naturally. CG and video games render each frame on their own, thus without motion...
Hell yeah I would. Say what yiou want about Halo but Bungie makes games that entertain en mass. Nuff said.
I loved all of their games from back in the day, especially Marathon.
Walther: in its day, Marathon was epic. It was fantastically well received and it garnered an enormous fanbase.
A Marathon remake would be freakin awesome.
An Oni remake like 1.0 said would be damn sweet too. Since Oni was PS2 game it's not unreasonable either. The I.P is likely fully retained by Bungie alone.
Can levels created on the PSP be uploaded to the PS3 universe?
Looks awesome.
You know it'll be fast, right?
Why would this not be free?
Religion and profiteering get cozy together too often.
Before video games there were no violent children, or even violence of any kind really. Video games pretty much take an innocent child and insert pure evil.
I hope you're all happy.
not this again...
how can something be CONFIRMED in a god damn rumour?
"rumour" and "confirmed" in one sentence?
man I'm psyched for this. Awesome.
When is out anyway?
For me it looks like Demon's Souls is going to be the RPG to buy right now...
If DA:O had multiplayer I think I'd be sold, but without I can easily wait and check it later.
First, title is wrong.
Second, why would developers take this feature away anyway? Party chat is more than likely a standard SDK feature and not hard to implement/support, so you would expect this will only have any effect if a developer has a really good reason to do it.
Silly flamebait. There are better things to rabble over.
I really don't see the point in having a purely academic argument about which console as the most power when looking at the numbers on paper.
The only thing that really matters is what gets done and released.
There absolutely no two ways about it - the PS3's first party games having been running rings around the 360's top offerings in terms of graphics.
You can argue all you want about potential, but it's a fact that the PS3 has better graphics -THAT ACT...
Dragon Age needs multiplayer.
Thanks for clarifying.
Is calling it "game of the Year edition" sort of a self proclamation or did it actually get some awards to that effect?
You react twice as fast when you have 60fps?
Do the extra frames somehow speed up the nerve signals between your brain and fingers via some kind of super 60fps transmogrificationuberblips?
Seriously.
