So much for a day one patch to fix the myriad issues this game has. Oh dear Bioware. Oh dear EA. You may be killing one of your most popular franchises.
With the pupils so dilated it looks like everyone has taken party drugs.
Sorry mate. I love me some Call of Pripyat, but you're kidding yourself if you think it has better gameplay. You need to take those rose tinted spectacles off. And it literally ripped its story straight from a Russian sci-fi film called Stalker so it is hardly original. Also, the world HASN'T ended outside of the zone so I don't think you can even consider it post apocalypse. Sorry.
It is really good at tying the stories into the main story and also tying excellent combat encounters into the side missions. Everything in this game just comes together.
I have finished the game so I have already fought several. They are a pain in the arse, but I think a corrupted Thunderjaw is worse tbh. A rockbreaker is very easy to avoid. They just take a lot of damage. Some freezebombs and hand destruction deals with that though.
I am honestly just worrying about the enclosed thunderjaw fight. I think that is the toughest fight in the game on normal due to proximity.
I am not that hardcore sampson. That sounds like a step too far for me.
I fired an arrow and heard the unmistakable crit noise you get from the machines and knew I would like it.
The combat is so very satisfying. Just killed my first Snapper on very hard. I am realising that avoidance may be the ultimate key on this difficulty as my god, everything is very very very tough. As I suppose a giant robot crocodile would be in life.
Play the game.
There is basically no Assassin's Creed in here beyond the fact that Aloy can climb. So that's a weak comparison. Far Cry. Sure, there are some elements in there, however they have been refined to a level that Ubisoft can only have wet dreams about. People kept saying, oh, it has towers in it. Yeah, walking ones where each is a challenge in itself to get to. You don't just climb up them and that is it. And it has bandit camps as well, but again, t...
I got mine on launch day in Europe with Resistance and Motorstorm. Good times. Feels like a very long time ago.
Is it weird that maybe the release schedule was a good thing. I purchased the whole collection and it is maybe a bit too much Hitman all at once.
I want to fly a stormbird.
It certainly is.
I would be tempted to agree if...
a) I hadn't seen it for myself
b) This was the only article criticising the game. It is rare for the 'gaming media' to sing in unison like this, so to speak.
New MP content for Uncharted soon as well. Should be good fun.
I thought Fallout was piss poor as well to be honest. Really had to force my way through and haven't gone back to it since. Bethesda oddly get a free pass from a lot of people. I can't explain that I am afraid. It probably has something to do with some misplaced sense of loyalty.
Anyhow, there is no way in getting around it. This new 'Mass Effect' is subpar in many areas. It feels like it needs another year of development.
It feels early ...
Nice. Enjoy.
I'll second this. In fact, it may be one of the best games I have ever played if I take my rose tinted glasses off for a bit.
The combat, exploration, world building, story, soundscape, AI, enemy variety, and obviously the visuals and animations are all top tier. Possibly, the pinnacle of what is around at the moment. I am floored by it really. I thought it would be good, but it is truly a masterwork of videogame design.
Everything feels tied to every...
I just started playing on very hard and am playing like I have the energy shield. I have died. Many times. Going for melee early on is like suicide. Even against some watchers.
All I can think of is there is one fight in an enclosed space I am going to have a really hard time with.
I like ropecasting people. It is a very quick way to end them.
Dreadful, but I await the defence force.
