I saw flashes of good stuff in ME3 (the whole of Mordin's involvement, Cerberus storming the Citadel), but for the most part, yeah. It has been sad to see Bioware's decline. I can't believe it has been 17 years since Baldur's Gate 2.
With all the talk of the animations in ME:A, I want to hold Dragon Age Origins up as a game that at the time looked dated, but made up for it with an excellent story, great combat, and excellent characters. Things that have bee...
This is why people believe in flat earth and creationism.
It certainly does, more than people give it credit for I think. I also like it as it feels distinctive, even next to the other games in the series.
Yeah, d move.
Look, I know you don't like it (I get it, I wanted this to be excellent) but the game is shoddy. About the only thing this game gets right is performance on a good gfx card (maintains 60fps pretty well). But when I am running around the threshold of a door and characters are vanishing and reappearing again then it is evident that there are massive issues. When the main characters armour textures and the textures of the cover I am behind have to be loaded in again after aiming down a scope...
Don't worry mate, I wouldn't dream of spoiling it.
Honestly nin, I don't think even GG could get all the foliage moving due to the limitations of the PS4.
If you took the ants out you'd get 1440p at 120fps.
Bloody ants.
Glinthawks trying to steal your kills is really cool to see as well. Cheeky bastards.
Yeah, not going to be forgetting that anytime soon.
I think the waterfalls are good though. I will say that it seems the water is actually flowing as Aloy will get dragged downstream if you jump in some rapids, which is impressive, but it looks a little jelly like.
That's true, but with the amount of foliage on screen, especially in the jungle environments, I fear my PS4 would explode if it all reacted to Aloy and the machines moving through it. I suppose the developer has to weigh up the pros and cons, and certain details have to be left by the wayside for performances sake.
I hope we see what Sucker Punch is doing, and I hope they raise the bar. They have been very quiet for a long old time in game dev terms. And my word, I think SS is the weakest Infamous game (not a bad game though) but it is still gorgeous. And the facial animations are still really really good.
I hope at some point they take Killzone back to the industrial grit.
I think it used to be. Now it is just the easy way to dismiss anyone with criticism of something.
I think RDR2 may have something to say about that ShadowKnight. But it will be close. HZD, Nier, Nioh, Zelda, Torment, and soon Persona 5. What a great start to the year.
Or a religious zealots perspective. Amirite EDMIX?
That's what you called me yesterday. And a 'fanatic' because I like the older Mass Effect games. Here's what I can't reconcile in my head. You call me a religious zealot and fanatic because I like the older games, but here you are acting in the same way, about a game in the same damn series, which you haven't actually played.
I have played it. It's not very good. Is it the wo...
I don't 'hate' ME: A. I just don't think it's particularly good either, and for all of our communities bluster about punishing bad publishers and their antics, it is sad to see so many willing to buy something that is frankly subpar for a triple A game. It has no polish. None.
But what do I know. It's much easier to dismiss legitimate criticism by saying I am hater. And all of the reviewers must be haters as well right. I mean it isn't like thei...
'don't make it sound as if there's only one game everyone can only play'
Can you point out exactly where he said that please?
