lmao
who writes these articles xD
"specifically dividing a once singular platform"
lmao. It is a launcher. It's not 'dividing a platform', it's dividing a storefront userbase. People already have to do it for things like Origin. People can have all the 'principle' they want, but in practice it is laughably trivial the vast majority of the time. The only argument from there is based on Slippery Slope argument (there is a reason this is often called a fallacy)
@william_cade
They're not exactly wrong. Porn is about objectification of people to make money. It can provide a good deal of pleasure to many but can cause tooons of issues. Especially in today's day and age where you have endless variety and novelty and the click of a button.
"That's the 800 lb gorilla in the room."
Except it's exclusivity to a launcher. So more like an 8 pound gorilla.
It's so trivial 99% of the time... it is a joke, yet people keep whining like it's the end of the world. In practice, for the consumer, how on earth is it any different from playing games on Origin or something ? It isn't. It's all based on 'principle' despite the fact that it makes little to no differ...
Come on now, you don't have to be a Steam fanboy to dislike the way Epic is doing things.
Isn't that implied though ?
I mean at what point do people have to start saying "It's just my opinion"
It is going to happen, that's just a given. Whether it's good enough now, who knows. It will be a thing though, and after a certain point, the kind of experience you can get will be orders of magnitude more impressive than any local machine. Still won't be ideal for many games (because streaming), but still.
um, because the whole point of these statements was the revenue cut...
......
come on guys...
Those clouds... mmmmm
Oh, lol, so don't expect the game to be impressive in any meaningful way xD
That sucks.
What ? That video you linked is an example of the most boring cover shooter gameplay you could possibly have, coupled with run of the mill set pieces.
This demo combat looked miles better.
Combat looks completely fine. Looks like they took a page out of good fighting games like Souls rather than just button mashers.
Looks like every move has an impact here, especially on higher difficulty.
Due to the nature of a lot of this I doubt it will ever completely stop. People in these industries will be working more at certain periods of time. That said, there can be a gradual shift to make things better, to make it more 'optional' (and yes I know it is officially 'optional' in most places, but I mean make it more acceptable to not take part in crunch if you don't want)
What is so hard to believe ? Good story campaigns can easily make people cry. Just play the first hour of TLOU, there's a good chance you might tear up.
It's not very clear cut. Many games that are rated Mature are not that disturbing and can be played by kids no problem, while some games actually go pretty far with that rating and have legitimately disturbing content. Blood and gore in themselves are not always disturbing either.
It's hard because in the age of the internet, young kids are part of exactly the same online community that adults are part of. If there's an actual mature game out there is popular, t...
I mean, Doom Eternal is more than enough to get me excited for their conference.
Actually the opposite. People will go to E3 to see this.
Everytime they show something I'm more excited. First time in a very long time I'm excited for a COD game.
