Why not just show the actual gameplay? The game looks incredible as it is, and trailers and commercials that don't contain actual gameplay honestly don't help anyone.
I picked it up for my kids as well - we've had a lot of fun with it so far. The only set we have is Back to the Future, which was fun for me, but they hadn't seen the movies yet (we just watched them all this past week).
I got a few other packs, but I'm holding those for Christmas. Gotta have some surprises!
I wish this article rated each Lego pack in terms of content and fun. That would be much more helpful than the rote descriptions that you can see pretty much anywhere.
For example, it would be nice if it had the information is currently has, plus something like:
Back To The Future Pack:
-7 hours of gameplay
-Will require to Wicked Witch and Ninjago to see all content
-etc
I'd have marketed it towards the horror movie crowd. I mean, it's basically a 10 hour long interactive horror movie. Just show some clips from the game, a couple jump scares.
Then again, marketing costs money, and if you're unsure about how you want to spend your money, I can see it being something that's difficult to decide on.
But in all honesty, I've never bought a game because of marketing. I buy them because I either know about them ...
A price cut would be nice, but I honestly just want to buy some of the rare ones at RETAIL price. :)
read my mind!
All of the reviews of the Phantom Pain that I saw (before it was released) had the reviewer talking about end-game content (they all mentioned a twist ending), so I'm not sure what you guys are talking about when speaking of MGSV - all of the reputable sites got it well before release and did their job.
I think the only places that don't finish every game before rushing out a review are places that don't get review copies, but want their review seen while it'...
"All the evidence is pointing toward a low-budget Shenmue production, perhaps well below the lofty expectations of so many long-time series followers."
This sounds a lot like conjecture, not fact. Also, the title sounds a lot like guessing rather than reporting.
This is an amateur opinion blog and shouldn't be on a news website. I'm not clicking the link as I don't want to support articles like this.
It's a combination of hit-bait and possible jealousy (that the game isn't coming to their console of choice). Articles like this shouldn't be approved, but my guess is that this writer knows a bunch of n4g people to help push it through the pipeline. How else would that explain all of your "disagree"s?
If it looks as good as Shenmue 2, I'll honestly be happy in continuing the story.
I've never played it, so the music it comes with will be the original soundtrack for me. I've heard good things about it (I love tight platforming) and playing it on the Vita sounds like a dream come true!
@moldybread
I see how you rated each game, but I think it's somewhat unfair to rate the games like this. You are looking at it with today's perspective, and not the perspective of the gaming world when these games came out. Specifically Uncharted 1.
When it arrived on the scene, it was this new and fresh experience. I remember playing it for the first time and being blown away by the dialogue that went on as I was playing (this was the stuff of cut s...
When the first one came out, there was nothing like it, and exploring that world was fascinating. The characters and story were incredible, and it was the first game I'd played where characters would be talking to each other like it was a cut scene, but it was during the gameplay.
The second one, for me, was the weakest. I felt like it was a rehash of the first one (realistic story that all of a sudden became mystical with a new "monster" type enemy introduced)....
I'm voting with my dollars. Even though I own an Xbone, for this game I will I wait for the PS4 version to come out, then I'll wait until it's used. That way, SquareEnix won't get a cent out of me for Tomb Raider.
Timed exclusivity is dumb. Either make it available on everything, or make it an exclusive. I won't partake in these business and marketing tricks.
And, to be honest, the timing of the deal is dumb. It's happening in the thic...
I literally did the exact same thing (same 3 games on launch), but I rarely play mine. Anything multiplat is picked up on PS4.
Sunset Overdrive was really good, and Halo Collection was another good one. But in my house, we honestly play Zumba Fitness more than any other game on the Xbone.
I tried giving State of Decay a try too, but I couldn't get into it. I'd get Gears, but I played through it like 10 times on the 360.
I'm not fo...
Everyone who read this is now dumber for having done so. May god have mercy on your soul.
I agree with Neo. Heck - I've even done it a few times. Youtube is how I experiences Gone Home.
I purposely avoided youtube for Until Dawn because, honestly, what is the point of playing it after watching someone else do it?
The rest of you are fools! Fools!!!
The issue with buying this is that it's telling game companies "don't worry - you can release unfinished games and we'll buy it. Then we'll buy it again when it's finished."
If we don't buy the "finished" version then we stop this practice altogether. As consumers, we should demand better.
Agreed! The title of this article was confusing (even...hit baity) since that movie is years away from coming out. Heck, I didn't even know he was in a Star Wars movie.
