Is this really the argument you want to make? A game that isn't out yet versus a game that is?
Wait until Uncharted 4 actually comes out, then compare the day 1, week 1, etc sales with Quantum Break's.
Also, while Amazon sells a lot of games, they aren't the sole market indicator. You can to add in Walmart, Gamestop, etc.
Agreed - in a month or 2, this game will drop by $20 or more. Plenty of time for Dark Souls 3 to take its course!
It's kind of sad that there's an article (that isn't a review) that's trying to tell people "this game isn't so bad after all!"
The issue I have is that one of the low scores is Giantbomb. That's one of the few sites that I actually trust.
I'll get this game eventually, but not at full price. I'm juggling 4 other games right now, and Dark Souls 3 and Uncharted 4 are right around the corner. No need to pay full price for something that will be $20 cheaper in a month or 2.
April fools?
I played through it with my kids, and it's basically just one on one or two on two battles with other heroes. There's no levels. Just, basically, boss battles. It took about an hour to beat the story if I remember correctly.
But there's additional side missions (more 1 on 1 fights with heroes). I thought it was kind of a letdown, to be honest.
Or am I missing something?
I don't trust any device that uses the console's power (adds additional heat) supply to cool it.
Someone seriously dedicated an entire article to this?
I was thinking about picking up a few 360 games - does the Xbox One do anything special for them, like give them a smooth frame rate, etc?
It's all about the freedom of giving game makers the ability to make whatever they want. Creative freedom of expression. If it sucks, we can vote with out wallets.
However, dismissing the game because you think it's got a dumb premise, is too shallow, or whatever other reason is kind of a pointless. If that's really the case, you should be on every message board for every game you don't plan to buy, talking about how shallow that game experience it. Why singl...
Interesting idea, but how could they do that without alienating people who bought the season pass? Give them a refund? I can't see EA doing that! lol
Seems like a lot of people here are missing the point.
IGN is a site that is supposed to objectively review games. By making ads for games, that objectivity is lost.
Doesn't the existence/success of the kickstarter for Mighty No 9 answer this question?
They are all excellent.
But my favorite is 3. It had insane set pieces, graphics, and moments where I was holding back tears. My second favorite is part 1 because it introduced me to the characters. It was epic playing it. It's weird to say "least favorite," but part 2 is my least favorite of the trilogy. It's still an amazing game, but I was disappointed that it basically had the same story as the first game (adventuring, then a late-game supernatural enem...
Adrian nailed it
It's always a terrible idea because there become games that only work with the upgrade. Historically, when game systems split the user base, it doesn't work out well. Third parties won't use it (unless they are given extra money by MS) because they don't want potentially fewer customers, and only MS games will really take advantage of it.
I got excited, thinking it might be one of those huge scale combat style games, like Dragon Quest Heroes. Then I watched the trailer...
He's a video game character in an action game with third person shooting as the primary combat mechanic. Most games are like this. And technically, you could go through most of the games just punching people out.
I've got all 3, and the PS4 is used almost daily. The WiiU is used when new games come out, like Mario Maker. I haven't turned on the Xbone since Halo 5 came out (and that was just for 2 day).
@BiggerBoss
The short answer? It's a PS4 exclusive.
