Pretty close to what I have, other than SOCOM, and I haven't gotten confirmation on what From Software is showing.. I had the Last of Us 2 closing the show. Gameplay from Death Stranding, Ghost and Last 2 as well... seems about right.
Yeah, we can only speculate as to what the details. On the surface, I don't see anything about the two games that would warrant a copyright claim but devil is in the details, and we don't have those. It would make zero sense for Epic to copy code, 1. their base game has been out for years, 2. pubg is literally crap quality. Without the documents we can only speculate that they are mad that Epic made a BR game which is more successful... we'll see what happens... I don't ...
At best probably not, mostly likely NO with the limited information we have about the case. However, not sure of the details of what the suit entails and what the legal structure is in Korea.
What they might wake up to one morning is Epic pulling their Unreal Engine license.
"But why do you care if others play something and enjoy it?"
I actually hope you do play and enjoy what you paid for. I absolutely have no issue with you enjoying the title, but that doesn't mean the title is something other than what it is. IT IS, WHAT IT IS. Its not like I am saying anything that isn't in a 100 reviews or dozens of previews during the beta. Its obvious observations.
Actually I read the book as well. Its actually an oversize great white that doesn't exist. The shark was actually blown up... nobody knows if it was Great White or a Megalodon. A big freaking fish.... I said Jaws... I think that's pretty freaking close.
"Rare has stated there are 6 major updates coming with weekly events. The next one is Cursed Sails, followed by Forsaken Shores. 3 more after that. Hungering Deep is a "med...
The problem with the title is its lacking a game with gameplay mechanics and systems, basically what you have is what you have. You'll get a few more silly things like Moby Dick, search for the Sparkling Starfish, etc. but no they are not going to invest in this game, its a huge money loser. Most of the people at Rare are working on the two IPs, not on this. Content can be fixed, but the lack of combat systems, lack of gameplay mechanics, and lack of talent at Rare... probably can'...
"It would have at least made a difference in the review scores"
Unlikely, imo, this isn't really a game. It would take a developer 2-3 years to finish this title as long as the developer isn't Rare. Rare is working on two new IPs, most of the personnel have or will be moved over. If someone likes the title there isn't wrong with that I guess, but it is what it is... they will be used as an example of what not to do.
Last of Us 2 gameplay will be shown as will Ghost and Death Stranding gameplay... TLOU2 will probably close out the show.
"shadow dies twice means"
I've been told conflicting things on From Software, they might be at the two conferences. I'm expecting Shadow to be Bloodborne-ish but not necessarily Bloodborne 2 and most probably multiplatform. Conflicting information.
He is asking for new IPs. Not necessarily the same things as Sony.
"And who cares as long as it's a new IP right? Or does it matter where the new IP comes from?"
Because on one platform you are getting variety that even 3rd parties won't even touch. The exclusives are really the big difference maker at this point, generally speaking.
"*Merger with EA that will allow EA to make games for Xbox as their leading 1st party developer, PC and mobile(not like they're making games for switch anyway), with long term strategy to own next Gen over Sony. "
This only makes sense if EA is going to ditch their licensing of IPs as most IP owners want their titles on more platforms.
"*Gets with Epic and finally announces The Samaritan or The Infiltrator game.(how come these aren...
I'm also told a mech game is in development, I'm assuming a new Mech Assault but I don't have enough details and to be honest it might be a mistake for Armor Core. (Not sure on this one)
Sony will be something like this:
- bunch of VR stuff - Shenmue 3 - KH 3 - Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay - Medieval - Death Stranded gameplay - Spiderman, Days Gone, and Dreams trailers - Last of Us 2...
SSO2 is not in development from what I was told.(?)
- Forza Horizon 4 - Another Sea of Thieves content trailer (eyeroll... possibly tie in with Banjo) - Gears of War (strategy game, mostly likely not Gears 5... Splash Damage... Gears 5 is being worked on but quite a ways out also... Coalition helping with another title with 3rd party i.e. PD) - Halo 6 (much bigger in scope bigger warzone... looking late 2019 but beta before then) - Crackd...
"This isn’t role-playing in the “I’m going to level up, upgrade my armor, and choose my skills” sense, but more in a “I’m going to actually pretend to be a pirate” sense."
Hm, okay so its a role playing game which isn't really a role playing game. Psss (to the author), what would you say if I told you its really not even a game?
I can't disagree with you there to a degree, but The Last Guardian/Shadow of the Colossus are generally still smaller titles, meaning smaller teams. The issue with CD3 is many... MS desperately needed new titles and high quality ones.... and Crackdown was never a big title but now it has to be, obviously the stuff they were promising isn't really working as far as we can tell.
Overpromising and under delivering - CD3 is their AAA game,...
What are the chances we make it to it sixth E3 from when Crackdown 3 was unofficially shown by Microsoft at BUILD 2014?
2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018.... 2019?
I would think with the infinite power of DA CLOUD, this should have been released years ago. This is what happens when you have non-game people making gaming decisions.
