I wonder what the chances are for this to ever be stand alone (like an MMO) versus being incorporated into ME3 multi-player later on.

only a little.

An alternative position is that dx11.1 will succeed in Finally gaining exclusive, 3D, 64 bit native GPU computing games where 10 and 11 have failed to be innovative enough to entice devs to support the new platforms.

Yeah no probably not.

But I doubt Apple can convince the greater majority of die hard Windows gamers to give a crap about Airplay.

no, that would suck

very interested in seeing what he's cooking up.

Those things don't have anything to do with each other.

The Chobe's character should have been DLC while Javik should have been in the game from the beginning.

However IGN can still comment that the game is good, if they think it is. Chobe is the one you can ignore, in the game and reviewing the game because of the conflict of interest, not IGN.

Sadly it is just a job for him. But thankfully there's many people who still buy games and make it worth it to continue making them.

I don't get it.. the game is functionally very strong.. hasn't crashed once so far (between 70 and 100 hours).

Exactly. Bubbles.

The only thing I had an issue with was the moronic Normandy running from the bubble either way. And the end shot with Shep sucking vacuum but not dying..

right of course.. gravity adjustment like inflating Mars' mass to match the Earth's mass and everyone+thing's weight.

no.. you're not supposed to dignify the movie by referencing it directly.

The DLC also wasn't fresh, compared to the game itself for PS3 owners, and EA needed to invite people to the brand who might have missed out on the game. As a solo campaign experience it works on PS3. But ME is best enjoyed on PC.. Xbox 360 if you honestly have no other choice.

As an example of bad business though, you should have expected EA to put Mass Effect on other platforms. It could have been on Wii if that platform supported HD. I wouldn't be half surprised i...

oh you mean pirate it.

I though for a second you meant download it though origin.. as I'm sure that would make the just as happy.

oddly enough the game hasn't leaked yet... I'm almost impressed. how can we know how worth while it is if we can't try before we buy? :(

having worked at EA I might come off as biased.. but I'm really not, and having played EA published games for years, I should also be biased, but I'm happy to buy the game as is just to complete the franchise that should have stayed loyal to Xbox and PC, that's biased right?.

Later on if the DLC IS interesting I can consider buying it.

BUT right at the moment Kingdom of Amalur seems like a better game which may help put off buying ME3.

Childish overreaction.

If any 3rd party was able to up and make a Mass Effect 3 DLC instead of a mod, and people wanted to play that more than campaign or multiplayer it is because there is value in that product above the main game.

Pay extra or play something else.

If anything the problem was trying to meet his own expectations on hardware that couldn't deliver, for publishers that don't usually throw money at projects just to make them as awesome as possible.. lol some settle for barely functional.

To further pursue this goal makes his work ever relevant for fans and a bar for the rest of the industry. We'll see how much hating on himself he can keep doing in Generation 8 where there may not be the excuse of we've maxe...

Fail.

But then they still use that ridiculous floating biotic power.. Sigh.

It can be appreciated that with the binary conversation options that there should be an update that forces progression options, or forces dumbass conversation replies

Either way it would be a more fluid experience if you weren't stopped every 2 minutes to decide to use the progression option, or ask for more information.. It is a good point but that's how most RPG games handle conversations.

The mouth is expressive.. but the eyes aren't. They'd have to be animated separately instead of in one pass (motion graphics).

The two techniques can't really be compared, but it might be easier to animate the top half of a characters head, ears and nose included.. based on emotions and what the character is supposed to be focusing on.

It'll still look fake and soulless.

Which is some information that is necessary if games like this (outside of Ubisoft) were still being made.. and if economies in these games were subject to tribulation without them being depressingly boring and too much like real work trying to guess what to plan for.
