It was revealed that since being bought by MS Tim Schafer Said he was able to fully make the game he wanted with out having to cut things out of the game due to budget constraints despite being crowd funded. The full game is on PS4 as it across all the other platforms, but Sony Has to fork over cash if they want the PS5 upgrade. As a buissness and being owned by MS. MS won't outright help out its competitor in paying for their upgrade. Understand if this was Sony, they be doing the exact ...

I'm not sure where you been but the 1X historically has had higher res over the Pro in multiplat games.

They can take Sumo those devs really aren't that great. Sack boys big adventure scored good however but Crackdown 3 wasn't great. They're 50/50 Sony will find a suitable replacement for Sack boy. MS desperately needs a suitable replacement for crackdown, if it's not already too late in terms of fanfare at this point.

Sumo to me isn't that big of a deal there are better devs out there.

Actually, the PS fanboys were spamming PS5 is better at the official Xbox Twitter handle for no reason. Last month they tried to get ppl to not sign up for Gamepass only for it to backfire and have gamepass trending instead.

Point is You don't see stories about Xbox or Nintendo fanboys acting this way. Making that fanbase the worse out of the major 3.

@hollow who bought that idea? Sony did actually. Sanandreas was timed exclusive on PS2 then eventually came to Xbox that's one of many examples im the 6th gen era. All MS did was play Sony at their own game come 7th gen.

"when Sony had two games they paid for to be exclusive to playstation, and Xbox bought them out of the blue."

Timed exclusives has always been frowned down upon especially ever since MS did it with Tomb raider back in 2015 only for Sony to do it all gen long. Interesting to see that it's acceptable and a cool thing to do again and nobody will complain anymore weather that Sony or Xbox gamers. Btw MS didn't by them out of the blues they've been talking...

It was being demonstrated on Sony's platform only. Regardless there was still major hype for it and Sony fans were saying it was only possible on PS5, when it clearly wasn't.

That screenshot was just giving ppl a glimpse of the full blown tech demo The Coalition will show off. It's nothing to go crazy about it's just another tech demo.

But Wait... Didn't they show the new Unreal engine off last May and a certain crowd of ppl hyped up the tech
the sky and said it could only be run on PS5 because of the SSD?

So who originally hyped it up?

@Chief I was referring to Dark Alliance only. RE8 nearly sold half of its copies on PS5 in the UK alone. Dark Alliance isn't a great game so selling 90% of its physical copies on PS5 isn't much to brag about.

And that title is on Gamepass as well.

1432d ago 5 agree13 disagreeView comment

Dark Alliance? Selling more physical copies isn't something to be proud of considering how mediocre the game is.

That game is on Gamepass after all if someone doesn't like it they simply can delete it vs a full refund.

MS E3 was impressive enough people went out and bought their console in droves. That's great for MS this holiday should be a great holiday season for them also.

1432d ago 7 agree10 disagreeView comment

Not really.

MS internally has been making changes since late 2017. They're just adopting new philosophies for a better and more creative work environment.

Playground has always made The Horizon games same as 343. NT wanted to continue the story of Hellblade. Outerworld's sequel was clearly Obsidians choice. Plus Obsidians and NT IP are much newer franchises anyway why not continue those games?

Perfect Dark has been gone for 16 years now that IP needs a completely new make over. The only one that's definitely being forced is a new Fable, again we haven't seen a new fable in 11 years. Most of MS ips people have been...

Redfall looks like it could be fun next year. Horizon 5 could be one of the biggest open world racers we've seen in a while. Halo, Engaging story and pro consume MP. Not to mention Stalker 2 looks great.

Nothing to look forward to on Xbox is a extremely isolated opinion.

CPR a is a publisher, they were never indie. They're big enough to spawn other AAA studios.

Bungie a also a publisher. In fact they're talking about branching off to other studios doing projects related to Destiny and projects that are totally new not related to Destiny.

Quick note I'm glad Bungie is one of the handful of publishers to get out from under MS at the time and Activision and go on to be one of the big boys in the industry. They&...

They really need to do some extensive testing with the game. Squash as many bugs as possible and release a game that's functional.

Respawn needs to focus on their craft and thats make engaging FPS games.

What I find disheartening is that they have all the devs from past AC games working on this game. Allot of these devs and main teams also worked on past Splinter Cell games. In turn, we won't be seeing a Splinter Cell game for a very long time. Late this gen at the earliest.

@michiel Right, MS would breach the contract and pay Sony a hefty fee if they did break the contract. MS wouldn't "dishonor" the contracts clause in anyway. That's anti-consumer right there.

But if MS Really wanted to they definitely could. If they can but and entire game company and publisher in one fell swoop they could find their way out of a contract. They won't, nor they should, but saying they could if they really wanted to.
