Console launches don't happen very often (probably every decade now). Of course they're going to do something flashy to build some excitement for a once in a decade event.
This xbox one was confirmed to be not defective. Also, like kavant stated, it's been fixed.

It was glitchy when it was released like yesterday, but it's working fine now.
Well, Shadowfall is fantastic with brilliant visuals, given from what I've played and now, I'm just waiting on getting Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5 in the mail tomorrow. I'm sure those two won't disappoint me either.
I'm not too interested in Destiny, but I'm sure they'll recoup their costs more or less, depending on how the beta goes.

so it isn't denial when a game like knack gets reviewed poorly yet almost all of the comments say to screw the reviews because they think it's a good game?
and by the way, his comment didn't read like someone in denial. He was just stating how the reviews are panning out.
I don't get as to why you automatically discredit the other two heavy hitters that are performing admirably- forza 5 and dead rising 3, just because ryse is getting poor to mixed reviews..

Having played knack at a friend's place, the game is polished and really doesn't warrant anything less than 7/10.
Sames goes for Sess's Ryse review. Pretty much all previews of the game have shown that ryse is polished, playable without any hitches, has a decent story, and tight gameplay (even if it may become repetitive). Now, a game like that and Knack definitely do not warrant such low scores.

Remember that meeting microsoft had about azure's streaming capabilities from an xbox using smartphones and pc's? We can see that becoming a reality pretty soon, I hope.
impulse triggers and insanely competitive a.i. + driveatars are two additions I've seen get a ton of praise, so it's not just a visual bump.

Killzone is at a 73 on metacritic.
Forza is somewhere in the 80s and will level off somewhere there as more reviews come in. That's a whole 10 points on metacritic difference them.
and yet they also awarded dead rising 3 a 7.5, lower than the metacritic score.
Whether you want to believe it or not, some of these websites that name themselves after their console of choice are not biased when they review the games. Same goes for websites that name themselves after playstation.
