I agree with this to a point but in reality a people being able to preserve their own culture and history is a must. Becoming some global Pangea is not the future that anyone should want. Cultural purity needs to be maintained as its what creates unique perspectives and a sense of individuality.
Considering Sony has plans for PS4 support until 2025 this articles point is kind of moot. We do need to step away from last gen but in truth thats still where most are playing. At the same time its really up to devs, game engines scale wildly on PC with the game looking and performing with night and day differences depending on your setup. Theres no reason the same can't be done to make sure that 9th gen versions are not well beyond the PS4/XB1 versions if devs still need those SKU's...
graphics look a little dated but given its cross gen I'm not surprised. so long as PS5 can turn out a 4k 60fps performance I'll be happy

2023 is WAY too soon, these consoles are only a year and a half old. absurd to think people would be given upgrade options so soon. I say they wait until 2025 let chip issues settle down and better improvements hit the market before they boost the silicon in these platforms.

Man if they do this it will completely screw any allure here. PAL region is trash, always has been, its a small miracle anyone in UK/EU bought these games back then with how bad there were. The reason they use these PAL versions is because they have so many languages so its easier to put out 1 version for a global market. Not justifying it though because thats sh*t

I find GamePass to be a great value for Xbox owners but very dangerous for the industry and the future of creative expression and smaller expansions in controls and game play ideas. If MS makes this the norm all we will end up with is safe AAA games that are all cut to fit a generic mold. Gaming is so big right now, I almost feel a crash is necessary in order to purge some of the bean counters. Gaming needs more Elden Ring, less Last of Us. More 90's era story telli...

Heres the answer....for some yes for others no. These articles are so stupid. the worth/value in these subscriptions depends entirely on the customer. I dropped my GamePass sub because it stopped having games that I did not already play. I don't plan on supporting the higher tiers of PS+ because I buy games on disc and the ability to buy the PS1/PSP games without a sub is enough for me

This is a excellent program. Looks like Sony took the initial feedback into account. The line up is solid the backward compatibility also looks to be great with enhancements to the PS1/PSP games and best of all if you already owned the games (like this guy) then you can redownload them at no cost without the membership.
