Respectfully...You have no idea what you're talking about.
ALL your assumptions are based off misconceptions.
But, it's not really your fault. It's clear you've NEVER experienced VR and you're trying to imagine what it must be like.
PRESENCE.
It conveys a profound sense of presence.
To imply VR works with only "certain" types of games is erroneous. All games benefit from VR. Even non-gami...
@Volkama
No. You're not alone.
With no exaggeration or word of a lie I would pay $1000 for either VR HMD and not give it a second thought. I've no problem spending the money for a quality VR experience.
And in truth, I pride myself as being an early adopter. For me the price tag comes with the territory. Always has.
I'm ready and willing to pay $1000 if need be.
And why not? I paid that much for my Samsung Plasma.
And when it comes down to it, Morpheus (like Oculus) is NOT a peripheral, it's a display.
Besides, you can't put a price on a good VR experience.
Pure conjecture and not at all accurate.
True VR immersion is still present in Third person.
I've been playing VR Minecraft for months and it's better than I could have ever hoped.

Also supports Razer Hydra.
And here is the Rift software to go with that device...

?
I wouldn't worry.
Once it's in the public's hands Morpheus adoption rate will spread like a bushfire in dry season.
Not necessarily.
Perhaps there is a /hide armor command.
Age of Conan has women running around topless even though they're in full armor.
"...Morpheus is very comfortable even more than Oculus."
That's saying alot.
For me the weight of the Oculus HMD has never been an issue.
And with desktop applications such as Ibex and VR Launchpad I've had the Rift on for as much as 8 hours at a time with no issues whatsoever.
You hit the nail right on the head.

At one point her heart rate hits an unbelievable 184 BPM!
I played BOTH Doom and Quake with the Rift this past weekend. Loved every minute of it.
BTW, VR is not better in First Person, it's just a different experience.
Third Person games work equally well with the Rift.
Arkham series, Skyrim, GTA4, Far Cry 3, Borderlands, Dead Space and Assassin's Creed are already Rift enabled.
Skyrim, Outlast, Mirror's Edge and Portal can all be experienced with the Rift.
Some even support Razer Hydra.
I'm going to ignore your bad advice and get both.
90 FPS minimum?
I'm not sure where you get your information, but I've yet to use ANY software with the Rift running at 90 FPS.
30 FPS doesn't change the VR experience whatsoever.
Agreed.
VR will exist much as the gaming industry exists today. Sony and Oculus will work in tandem and both will cater.
PC devs/enthusiasts/modders will push graphical boundaries and advance the technology.
On the other hand, it will be Sony's Morpheus that parents will be wrapping up for birthdays or for under the tree, thus ensuring mass adoption.
And for people to say that PS4 can't produce a PROPER VR experience is ridiculous. Hel...
Disappointed its not cross-buy!
I actually became MORE interested after the subscription model was announced.
Subscriptions segregate serious players from the screaming 12 year olds who like nothing better than to ruin everyone's time and enjoyment.
Besides, F2P games are all terrible, usually requiring more than a $60 investment to have unfettered access to all the important features.
