You mean this after v1.8 update? I must say I completely disagree, if so. It's not the most content-filled online game around, but we almost don't have good AAA coop games, this one brings so much fun to the table, and 5+ modes with fun global events... idk, maybe you played it at its very start?
Totally agree with you. When you try to please everyone, you end unpleasing everyone - we all have our sides.
That being said, TD1 was one of the few games IN MY LIFETIME of 25 years of games that surprised me when I said to myself "no way I'll ever like this game". They really did a fantastic job, but I only experienced the game v1.8+, and I know people who invested time and money since v1.0 had a really though time until there.

I think most people is betting on them to be what Bioware left behind, at least the real hardcore fans from ME, DA, etc. If so, i'd bet romance options is pretty relevant.
True, but Blizzard is used to parasite 20 years and counting (WoW). They want them all and forever.
Totally agree, and they are SO GREEDY, even with all that you just said.
Here in Brazil almost every AAA publisher does that Steam-compensation for local currency (I'm not judging its merit, if it's fair, not that) since launch - Bethesda is the only one charging full 100% conversion at the game's launch.
And, let's be honest, after Fallout 3/Skyrim games, Bethesda knows their games will be properly fixed by the mod community.

Best Name + Comment combination I've seen in some time.
I like your enthusiasm, gangsta. here's an upvote
I myself can't say "everything I dislike about modern games" like you, but I feel you. Only the fact that the article starts with "...the reigning champion of the adventure genre, Telltale Games..." makes me mad. It is (was) probably true, if you look at sales charts - but I'd never say this about the quality of their "adventure" in the games. And I'm not even taking in account the technical glitches - I myself stopped playing Telltales after the 2nd ...
Please. This.
If you're a gamer on the fence of getting anything-Konami please don't. If you just love it and can't live without it please buy it and have your fun, that's legit.
I don't know how many people overall has ever worked on development of any kind - but I can tell you from my experience:

In a way Remedy brought some innovation in its every game, but not REALLY new mechanics - which what we need more than never.
Games keep coming (mostly) more of the same. At best a spin here or there, but same mechanics for almost ever now. Anyone who played games for 20+ years like myself will remember how games used to impress with new mechanics.
Remedy, specifically, coated most of its games with good themes/stories, but gameplay-wise they were extrem...
You can always do a solo session if you're more like me, for a single-player-like experience, but with the Online stuff. Just google it.
Also, they'll kill the studio after not-bringing-200%-profit in 3 months.
I don't get it, GTA5 single player is far from being the worst of the series - there are people that hated the 3-characters thing, but story/map/activities-wise is pretty much on par (if not even bigger than some). You can completely ignore there is an online mode in the game. Do you really think the fact that it has online ruined the SP experience/final product?
It should be cool if they put any good/evil duality decisions, as the quick character art suggests. I only hope it's not just a generic Souls clone with nothing new to add in an already dull action games scene (at least for the last few years).
Not the general public, sorry, didn't mean that. But for a writer at a gaming news/editorials website I pretty much expect that they are following Ubisoft news, yes.
Not an issue.. but it's the kind of writing that makes me to follow or to avoid them next time.
How was that a surprise if they announced they would show TD2 at E3 3 months before? It wasn't even a "leak", Ubisoft twitted about it. Game journalism..
I want to believe it'll be an unique experience, the trailer suggests that - but it's Remedy: they have their ways to make interesting plots to become the most dull games.
Just like in QB and Alan Wake: the proposal seems like something we'll dive in a deep concept - or at least a strong emotional journey - but we end with a fair action game with repetitive gameplay. Both games I had to rush because I couldn't take it anymore past mid-game. Only to discover ...
That's what they meant by democracy, we just got it wrong
I still get chills when I rewatch great reveals like PS4's or even the Fallout 4 one, and they aren't even old. I hope they find ways to keep stuff more guarded, like Rockstar does, for an example.
@Falcono did you watch the gameplay stream on TTV? If yes and still thinks like that I feel sad for you.
