It'll be great to see what card lord and savior Sweeney will play this time. More free games? Forknife skins? Or does he think people will voluntarily choose EGS over Steam for it? Hmmm
Not the lord and savior of all PC games industry.
True, but the weird way they said specifically "with PC, PS4 and Xbone in mind" gave me some hope it could really be something near. But after the hype was gone your words make much more sense now.
I stopped caring about reviews for some time now, but sometimes they tell me something.
That's when sellout websites - and/or filled by pepega game "journalists" - all agree hating on a game. That's my call.
So true, they literally took all the feedback from communities - which are beta-testing their broken game since the disastrous launch - with the lies of Pete (and the hobbit) that new content would be free, no P2W and made the worst deal for players ever.
Tricked the people to contribute saying things would be free, and they come back selling those ideas to the same ones who believed on their lies. It's so atrocious I can't find a name for it.
Calling people who refuse to buy from Epic Games crybabies shows how much you understand the reach of it.
If they get rid of Peter and the hobbit there's a hope. But ofc, that's almost impossible..
What..? How did I miss this coming, I didn't know CK3 was in the works - great news but we all know it'll take a lot of expansions until we get a game complete as CK2 - the Paradox fallacy.
Yes, look for the video "The Elder Scrolls: A Promise Unfulfilled | Complete Elder Scrolls Documentary, History and Analysis" on YouTube.
The hobbit was the one to start ruining the franchise in the first place.
@Fist4achin like meatnormous said, neither of them are streaming platforms, meaning: they are ONLY STORES (few extra features here and there but overall they're stores).
You don't play through them, like a streaming platform would be. So yes, you need your own PC with a good CPU, GPU, memory, etc. Just like it ever was with "past games". It's the same exact thing, no changes so far.

Although I agree with you that hardly they would capture the " true Souls essence" - not only The Surge, but look at that Lords of the Fallen one.. - I think it's a good idea to go this path than to continue the so-old-now combat system we had on almost every action game in the last decades.
Souls games are a great inspiration, but when devs try to clone it usually ends mediocre. But I believe it can do very well on talented teams (but I don' t know about ...
In the end, it could actually be China vs current game market as we know - and probably want - it.
Look around about "dialectics" if you want to know more about it.
Me too, but tbh only playing it soon because it's coming for Xbox Game Pass - else I would gladly expect it to go on sale at GOG or Steam.
First and foremost, EGS will never be installed on my PC.
Second, although this time isn't in a bugfest Bethesda engine, I expect some beta quality of bugs just because almost all AAA/AA games launch like that nowadays. Thanks to Epic we now have a good bunch of people who pays full price to beta test those.
@multiplatformgamer
You say it like it doesn't drive what is coming in the next years at all.
Also, Epic Games Store only exists and is doing what is doing because of endless money from the same model that is ruining future games.
It's OK to like it, but if you're going to defend it, don't be that naive - you're doing a disservice.
TBH, this is a very good surprise.
I'm still to see how much P2W and mtx-infected it'll be, but from "I don't care" the game went to "well, maybe.." to me.
True, people love to complain when games come out shitty as they have been - but no merit when they decide to trade a very expensive - commercial-wise - decision to push it back to further polish it.
To be very honest about it, I'm not expecting an excellent game - we're talking Paradox here - but I'm happy we're getting a Vampire sequel after so many years. I prefer to wait than to be completely disappointed. Not super optimistic, though.
Sure, let's wait when 40% Tencent starts to make their demands.
Censorship.
No true free speech (they don't even have forums and reviews now - will they have it really? When they do, how it will work?).
Bans and suspensions?
Tim Lord-Savior-of_PC-Games is just doing pre damage control. If you want a hint of what it'll become take a look at how Hollywood is bending its knee - just one example.
People insist ...
I hope it brings some fresh air and people back. This is such a great game, and Massive has (mostly) done a great job hearing the community and dealing with issues.
I don't want for it to happen, but your argument is valid - I don't understand the downvotes.
Doesn't people read news about the mobile market?
Even if they don't, they think Google, with the data they have, the marketing teams they have, they would just dive in blindly "to see if it'll work"? Together with that, Apple also launching that Arcade thing, it's all pointing to a "yes, there's a huge casual gamers mar...
