Agree 100%, sadly.
What was the last time we had any "offline" story DLC, GTA4 IIRC? Look at the great world RDR2 has, it would be perfect for 2 or more dlcs, but with their endless cash-grabbing RDO events - not to say uninteresting IMO, even though I've played it a lot - those never going to happen. It's sad.
Not much to hope coming from Take2, though.
Agree 100% - what's next, if they have one item inside let's say "Level 13", that gives a boost to XP or something P2W like that (yes, looking at you Ubi), but only reclaimable through their online account - GOG will need to search for EVERY SINGLE POSSIBILITY inside the whole game?
Ugh, correct me if I'm wrong but - isn't that the same question from 5 years ago?
I was crossing my fingers before playing the trailer "please be realistic, be realistic" and... nope. I like they're doing this, but it's a pass for me.
Next stage: full Konami /Sadge
Talk about coming thirsty by the headline and going completely the opposite way after reading the summary. Nope, thanks.
don't you dare to change Katamari /gachiHYPER
This is kinda worrying for me, everything EGS and savior-of-PC-industry Tim Sweeney says comes first as sketchy and shady - rarely it doesn't confirm that.
I wish the best for PS5, despite Sweeney's curses.
No worries for me. At the time it's released, EGS beta testers will test it for free, just like the games they get.
Sure, as soon EPIC beta testers help to fix all the bugs and technical issues I'll be ready to play it on Steam.
Laws. They're making sure to tuck in every trash they create inside.
I'd suggest anyone to watch LArian's documentaries on YT, both on OS2 aand OS1 to keep optimistic abouut this wonderful studio and their moves.
We've been discussing this for months now, since all the rumors about Stadia and whatnot: DONT LET THEM WIN.
There are hundreds of posts with all the reasons why it is the WORST thing since DLC and microtransactions in gaming, but no - there are still people defending this.
I'm glad I'm old enough to have lived the golden age of gaming, so I'm not that sad about this now inevitable (yes, because of costumers) sh*t age to come. Too bad newe...
Sadly that's what happens when a game is released half-a$$ done and they never release a sequel in 10 years. Bethesda games are always a great and a bad story at the same time.
I don't care one bit for performance and quality because I need to accept this for the first place, to even think about performance/quality.
And why I don't accept it? Because as soon as they have success with this model, IT'LL BE EVERYTHING ON THEIR HANDS:
- They want to run ADs in between levels, or every 10 min? Nothing you can do about it.
- They want to track every single thing you do ingame, or in their menus? Nothing ...
100% this. If this [data miner + forced ads + service full-control] excuse disguised as a game platform has any success means the worst precedent for games ever.
Microtransactions will be missed as an "issue we had" in the past if this succeeds. People just don't get it.
"While we’ve determined that only a small number of characters have been negatively affected, ..."
A single video on youtube has a cheater robbing whole inventories from 530 players. YES FROM FIVE HUNDRED PLAYERS, from lv1 to lv 200+, imagine the time wasted on this shitty game just gone to regrets limbo.
FU Bethesda, you don't deserve 0.001 the people that still has any trust on you. You've crossed every single line.
Can anyone who did it explain to me WHY? Why on Epic when you could have done it directly on Rockshit Laucher? I'm legit curious.
"Nothing against it"? Do you realize that if this really becomes a success everything is going this path? Meaning: all in the service's hands?
I'm sure you have at least an idea of what this represents..
Dude, I'm not an all-for-graphics one, but c'mon, this looks like PS1 and I'm not even trolling.
