You simply answered your own question. Then again I have a Vita I'm also planning to get this. Since this is basically still a vita not only are you able to play games on your tv, but now give any tv with hdmi the ability to do internet browsing or watch some video streaming at a cheap price.
The Vita Tv just keeps sounding like a better deal already. It's launching in Japan first, meaning I'll get my hands on it earlier than the west!
Stop lying, you don't own a Vita for the simple fact that you stated it has no games. The Vita has games, it just happens that you don't have Vita games cause you simply don't own a Vita.
I am a Vita owner too but I don't feel screwed with this. The only performance upgrade was an additional hour on battery life. Most of the changes were for cost cutting purposes and the addtional internal 1gig memory.
It will have DS4 support when the PS4 launches. Hopefully Sony also patches the game compatibility with this.
Of course not everyone will get it, a lot of people who don't get it are either morons or fanboys who want the Vita dead. It's easy to see the vita tv going against roku/apple tv devices while having the benefit of being able to play real games. Also the $100 price tag makes it appealing to the casual crowd and would be a good introduction device to console gaming.
Nintendo will be fine, unfortunately I cannot say the say for bully's kiddie grammar.
@bully
Please learn to use the english language. We can't be "butthurt" if we can't understand what you're saying.
Oh bully stop mangling yourself....
Lol, okay that is ugly....I can't imagine myself driving that.
True but aesthetics plays a big part on sales. It's natural for human beings to be drawn on something they find attractive. I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover but most regular folk judge things by looks alone.
Nothing wrong with eyecandy. Would anyone buy an ugly car?
Are you retarded? You don't need another Vita as this is basically just a vita without the screen and controls. You have this as a stand alone console even without the PS4. My god you are trying so hard to troll and fail with your poor comprehension skills.
It won't hurt the regular Vita sales. In the end it's still a Vita and uses Vita games. If this makes the Vita install base increase then more devs will make games for the Vita.
@cloud
Just stop dude, it's obvious you don't have much comprehension on what the vita tv offers. Heck I have a vita but I'm buying a vita tv too. It's not my problem if you can't afford it.
The heck?!? House sounds like a real japanese guy!
This really is basically a Vita home console. The $100 price is really great. Buying this will be the same as increasing the Vita's install base, the more install base the more dev's would want to make games for the vita. This is a genius move by Sony.
You can't kill what is already dead......:P
This just really kills the Ouya. I have no doubts about that. I never had any idea that Sony would launch this device. I am still so surprised and also excited for this. I'll definitely be buying one.
DS4 compatibility will be added upon PS4 release. Before saying it's stupid do your research first.
