I actually want a surface pro if it wasn't so out of my budget. It actually looks more functional than the average tablet since it uses windows 8.

Never had a burn in on my vita and my brothers vita's are also fine cause we always turn them off after playing. It's not just oled's that suffer burn in. I've had a friend who has the lower screen on his 3ds xl and that's definitely an lcd.
People here too love karaoke but I'm curious on how am I gonna load it with karaoke songs and how am I gonna add a mic to it? I wouldn't try this on my handheld vita cause it would make me look silly :)

From what I understand most of the recent losses from Sony's gaming division is because of the investment in the cost of developing the PS4 and probably the newer vita models.

It's a calculated risk, if they manage to make the Vita Tv successful they'll increase the Vita's install base and garner more dev support.
I'm highly certain it will launch in the west. Also if you can't wait you can import it from japan, there's no region locking on ps vita's so you won't have any problems using it there.

Actually it's Sony's gaming division that's been keeping Sony afloat. It's the other divisions that were making lots of losses for Sony.
There will be a global launch for the Vita Tv, Japan will just get it first. To be fair they're gonna have to wait next year for a PS4 release.
Well it didn't have the box though :P Yeah you should wait, I'm certain the new model would drive the prices of 2nd hand Vita models down. Just remember that when buying a second hand unit always look for great condition items since it most likely been well taken care of. Also I've had better luck getting 2nd hand gadgets from girls, since they tend to be more careful with their gadgets.
I respond politely to people who have genuine concerns and questions. To be honest I also wanted the hdmi output for the vita too since its always good to have that option. Maybe we'll get that feature in another revision.
Do your research please before spouting anymore nonsense. Most of the touchscreen capabilities are gonna be addressed by the dual shocks l3 and r3 buttons. Also the DS4 will be supported upon PS4 launch and that controller has a touchpad.
It's a good deal especially if it's in mint condition and comes with the box along with a memory card. I also got mine second hand for that price but with 2 memory cards, 2 vita cartridge games along with a 1 year subscription to ps plus (as long as I don't log out of that account).

The problem with adding hdmi output to a vita will probably add more cost to the unit itself. This is actually a very smart move by Sony. This might even serve as an introductory model to getting a vita handheld. For $100 you get a small console that adds additional functionality to your tv.
Airplay is not necessary as you can use the Vita's memory card and game cards on the Vita Tv.
Edit: you can also stream videos and music from your pc to your Vita Tv via wifi since I'm certain it has most of the functions of the Vita.
This is not meant to circumvent the vita but offer a cheaper alternative. It does not have the gaming on the go capability of the Vita. If you were reading the news there's also a new vita version.
Well at least people are waking up about Apple selling overpriced products. It's funny to think that Samsung provided a lot of parts for Apple phones.
