It seems like the losing side always argues for attach rates. Really doesn't that just prove they have more fanboys? It doesn't mean that if they had 9 million HD-DVD players their attach rate would remain the same. These are early adopter fan boy nerds we're talking about here. It's only one demographic: Guys that don't get laid.

The PS3 has been outselling the 360 worldwide for a couple of months now which includes December. The PS3 will pass the 360 in Europe and everywhere outside the US by the end of the year. The 360 still holds a commanding lead in the US which is still growing but has slowed significantly.

I think the rumor could definitly be true. The fact that they are hiring PS3 programmers to work on porting the CryEngine 2.0 to the PS3 seems like a sure sign.

The one on the left looks obviously better. The one of the right suffers from a slight blur probably due to full screen AA.

Actually the video architecture in the 360 is a bit better but the PS3 is easily more powerful overall. The answer to the question in regard to game quality is no. Software sales, yes.

PS3 will catch up in quality titles and possibly hardware but It'll a bit more time for it to catch up in software sales.

Can they insert that foot any further into that big mouth? Geez, just say from now on will set RGB = Full and we expect everyone to shut up. That would give both sides something to be happy about, 360 fanboys need some win on their side.

Defeats the purpose? I thought the purpose was to show users which version to buy? Oh I see... If the PS3 version looked like it's supposed to people might buy it, thus defeating the purpose of hyping the 360 version.

GT is full of crap.

Textures are made up of pixels which have color ranges so yes, RGB has a lot do do with how good the textures look. The RGB range affects the color for the entire scene.

I wouldn't pay much attention to this comparison. It was done by Gametrailers and we've already scene past comparisons where they had the PS3 incorrectly setup, ala Assassin's Creed. They fail to put it in RGB=Full mode but rather use RGB=Limited.

The 360 may lack open mod support which is what's best about the game.

"The Orange Box saw particularly low sales"

Are analyst so ignorant that they don't realize why the Orange Box didn't sell well? Users don't like half ass efforts that result in crappy framerates. It's time this industry throughout it's analysts and got some folks with heads on their shoulders.

More useless articles. Of course they don't owe anything but it's not about that, it's about keeping their customers happy. Article makes a statement no one should care about.

The prices will eventually have to drop. There is competition in the form of DVD and download. The author seems to forget that Sony wants people to buy BRD, not DVD which is still the DVD forum's format.

In fact the DVD forum's next move is to try and kill all hi-def formats and claim DVD is good enough or to sneak into the PC market. Blu-ray will never fully defeat downloads but that's not their intent. The intent is to replace DVD in home theaters, PCs, backups, etc... The fa...

This quote is so off: "If you watch kids on a computer, most of them are just hitting keys or moving the mouse as fast as they can. It reminds me of rats running in a maze."

When my 4 year old plays Dora or some other cartoon flash based game on the computer he concentrates intensly. Here is what I've noticed from his video game play:
1. Improved motor skills, far beyond most of his friends.
2. Improved focus on things that interest him, this includes dr...

Bad idea. People want their consoles to last at least a little while. They'll start buying PS3s instead of the new console knowing that they will still get good games (alah PS2) but not have to pay a premium for years to come.

How short sided. I guess Chris doesn't see the fact that the PS3 install base is catching up. He should at least say that a PS3 version of the game may come later so not topiss off potential customers when they suddenly realize their mistake.

Poor business decision Chris.

I think Dan went through all these comments and marked "Disagree" lol. Poor Dan, why don't you go make a bold statement about a game you've never played, KillZone2 cough, cough...

6101d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Actually Dan it's because they don't respect your opinion and even more importantly know that most customers don't either.

Lies. They didn't get paid a dime. It's public record and Warner already disspelled this rumor. This is just HD-DVD fanboy crap.

How? It didn't. It does what Halo always does, picks the best from other games and makes one cohesive package.

Really what Halo changed was how games are marketed and hyped.

1. Release a innovative game with good marketing.
2. Hype the hell out of it's sequel making it appear that this is the biggest thing since sliced bread.
3. Spend 1/4 of your budget on marketing, must be good marketing!
4. Pay supposedly nuetral game media to cover the ga...
