IMHO, yes. I also think that COD4, UT3 (mods tip the scale), and Bioshock are also better. Of course Bioshock has no MP so that's harder to compare I suppose.
Halo 3 is a cool and creative multi-player game. that's it.
This idiot owned a XBox before a PS2 and doesn't even own a PS3. He's calling them fanboys? What a moron...
Poor guy.
More anti-BRD propaganda.
Um, because your users want them and don't you want to please your users, aka customers? Dumbass EA...
Wow an article bashing BRD from Microsoft. This is some bias crap.
Sounds more like MS is sticking a middle finger up it's own butt.
Yes and this is why Toshiba put so much behind HD-DVD, to see it lose against digital downloads. This is some dumbass politics.
Sony can use AVC and now that HD-DVD is dead most BRDs will be encoded with AVC rather than MS/Intel's VC-1.
In fact, things seem to be going the MPEG-4 route in camcorders, quicktime, consoles, DirecTV/Cable, etc...
Only windows is truly bent on using VC-1. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just your statement isn't very accurate.
It would be a good move for MS to release a USB Blu-ray player just like their HD-DVD player. That way 360 owners will be less tempted to buy a PS3. MS needs to concede the format war and invest in the console war.
On the other, all those folks who some Sony was dumb for including a Blu-ray player have been officially smacked down. You were short sided to think Sony's plan wasn't a good one. I find now HD-DVD/360 fanboys aren't talking a whole lot about their complaints a year ag...
Bogus, every person I know who owns or has owned a 360 has got the RROD except one who I haven't asked in months.
Suprise, suprise... Why is 1UP still around?
No because on average HD-DVD discs have been more expensive than BRD. This is one of the major reasons HD-DVD is losing. They aren't passing their advertised cost savings on to consumers. The hardware is an initial expensive that consumers are willing to stretch a bit further for.
True. Bungie is like the Madonna of gaming. They come in later with a compilation of everyone elses ideas and get all the credit for it.
Beginning looks better on the 360, the rest looks almost exactly the same or at least not enough that someone should care while playing.
Chalk up a win for 360 fanboys for having the best looking worst game in town.
I won't give them anymore of my money, I'm sticking with Rock Band. DLC is so much better than waiting all year.
This article is incorrect. They did not sell 10.5 million because the FY06 numbers still reflect units shipped. The author of the article simply added units shipped in FY06 with units sold in FY07.
It's likely under 10 million total and the VGChartz numbers are probably pretty close.
Lies. No company would release a product knowing it would have a 1 in 3 failure rate. Sure there were signs, rushed development and testing and they were dumb to release it that way, but not knowingly.
They'd have thrown another heat sink on it at the very list as a quick fix, err... Falcon, cough...
The Wii with Alkaline batteries last 3 times longer than any of the kits and lithium-ion are super expensive.
Overall, assuming each has rechargable batteries:
1. PS3, cuz u get it for free, usb chargable.
2. 360, have to purchase quick charger but lasts as long as the PS3.
3. Wii, doesn't last long, most recharger kits aren't much good and you have to buy them.
Generally speaking he makes some good points but his Toslink argument is dumb. There's no noticable difference between Toslink and HDMI. There's often a massive difference between component and S-video since S-video won't do 720p or 1080p.
