Now you just need Major Nelson and Kevin Butler in there and you got a real battle goin.
More like aqua...smack...
I'm sad not to see Duck Tales on that list. A personal favorite.
Mix that sick gameplay with some burgerstorm n I'm sold.
Honestly, it felt really similar to Fable 2 despite some of the minor changes to the start menu and interactions with NPC's. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it just felt really familiar.
hahaha the mario brothers movie... wow that was awful. but a lot of fun.
Wow, probably the most coherent and well thought out argument I've heard for creative innovation in general. I think this same concept applies to other media too, like movies and music, but I think because of the extraordinary amount of money flying around those two industries, especially as compared to the video game industry, there is a lot more wiggle room.
I think you hit the nail on the head in talking about the conflict between business and creativity, which isn't an inhere...
For me, this game was really confusing to put my finger on. I feel like the mechanics that were really messed up and the choppy stealth segments were almost intentionally so, but I'm not sure that makes it a redeeming quality. Either way, sick review.
Awesome story, we can only hope more of this continues to happen.
Gotta catch em all!
... I mean friends.
hopefully never. but the games will have to grow with me.
Actually, when I first saw it, I thought it might be computer animated. But upon looking at the sword hilt, I'm reconsidering...
They most certainly can. Even if they don't win the "Modern Warfare" label, they will certainly continue working for big name titles for some producer, EA not being an unlikely option...
Hooty HOOT!
Im not so sure about the RTS idea... especially since Brutal Legend employed it very UNsuccessfully.
I second phnax. Some real solid points, but I don't mind a little retro gaming now and then.
I agree withe everything except for District 9. While a good movie, I could see it translating into a horribly mediocre game.
This has little to do with the article, which is great btw, but how much do we feel like this nudity "glitch" isn't so much a glitch as a marketing stunt? Maybe this has already been confirmed, and I'm just behind the curve. Either way, well done QD.
Sweet article, dude. Definitely looking forward to the future in digital distribution.
...like the 5 seconds ago when i first read this article.
