It can be taken either way really, people just tend to lean towards the negative side - it's human nature.
I don't think it's necessarily THE most important game ever, but it's definitely a very important game when it comes to establishing games as an artform.
I would consider Silent Hill 2 quite important in this respect.
Importance is subjective though. Braid is important in the sense that it is a major step towards games being accepted as an art form. Call of Duty is important in the sense that it has set a trend in the gaming industry. It has massively affected what is popular, and caused other companies wanting to make a fps really step up their game in order to compete.
Sure you could argue that it has actually lowered the quality of other games due to them simply trying to imitate CoD...
I don't think anyone doubts GTA V is on it's way.
This is the first Brink article I've noticed on here for a while, I was just happy to see it getting some press. It's a shame it's somewhat negative news but still.
I wasn't really too bothered about Brink when I first saw it but I've been getting increasingly interested as it's gotten closer to release.
This statement does make it seem like they're not too confident in the PS3 version though, and I think it's understandable for people to be worried.
Still it doesn't really mean anything. It looks like Brink has had a lot of money and effort put into it so it should be a great experience on both consoles. I'm looking forward to getting it.
I have no idea what you just said.
@Godmars290
Where in the article does it mention Microsoft? Why do people take anything remotely negative said about Sony as just Xbox fanboy bitching?
Sony does stupid stuff, Microsoft does stupid stuff, they're both just as bad as each other.
Just because you prefer one company to the other doesn't mean you should mindlessly defend it, and bash the other one all the time.
I'm an Xbox guy myself and don't really like the PS3 too much but these guys are just assholes. Do they not realise how many people they are affecting with this bs? The sad thing is they probably do and just don't care.
I hope you guys get back up and running smoothly soon and hopefully Sony's security will hold up.
Gears 3 is noob heaven compared to the first Gears.
My advice for new players regarding the Capture the Leader mode is just don't play it. Seriously the person who is chosen as the leader needs to be at least decent and communicate a lot (this includes knowing where all the weapon spawns are and names of areas to call out to better communicate where the enemies are). Just get some practice in the other modes first and get to know the maps.
As is stated in...
Ffs Ezio again? I'd like either a new character or Altair again - where's his trilogy?
This game was first announced so long ago, I wish it would hurry up and come out already.
I don't know what's a sadder thought to entertain-
That people are so far up Sony's ass that they instantly claim something like this as fake.
or
That it is fake, and someone would bother faking it.
And I mean sad as in "being able to speak klingon" sad, not "a puppy just got ran over" sad.
Call of Duty worry about saving itself?
Yeah maybe Bobby Kotick needs to be saved from drowning in piles of cash.
Online functionality is one of the main features of consoles these days. The majority of games have online game modes, and a lot are primarily geared towards online play.
People have every right to complain and expect compensation.
@Blad3star
He said "...for gaming"
No need to be a douche.
Yeah both of those games look very interesting.
I'm still waiting for a new Onimusha though...
Yeah it's not like EA have published all the other Battlefield games...
Wtf are you talking about?
Looks badass, bit pricey though.
Yeah Play.com is pretty garbage. I only order from there if it's a game that I'm not too bothered about waiting for, even then I rarely shop there these days.
