I don't think Resistance 3 should really be compared to the rest of those games.
I can't remember the last time I played a game while in the in-game chat with people I don't know, and the team actually co-ordinated in some way.
The vast majority of people online are douches, I'd much rather just chat to a friend who's playing another game, or play the game with a group of friends and sit in party chat so I don't have to listen to morons on the other team screaming all the time.
Edit: @Giant_Chibi
Yeah...
"If this game came out 10 years ago I bet it'd get higher scores"
The fact that you're trying to defend the game with this statement gave me a good laugh, cheers.
Nostalgia should be thrown to the side when reviewing a game.
As for fun, they're saying it simply isn't fun - that's not throwing it to the side, that's just the game not being fun.
It seems to me this game is going to get a free ride on nostalgia for a lot of people and that shouldn't be the case.
And that's not impressive?
Same here, I was pleasantly surprised.
They got memos, it's just that theirs said "..that it makes money" instead...
As long as it's only on the credits or something and the rest of the game is the usual Silent Hill style then I'm not too bothered.
Well this has gone and spoilt my day...
I'd like to see a trailer along the lines of that Deus Ex 3 trailer where it shows a summary of the level being performed in different ways.
I haven't seen anyone on here say Hitman 2 is the best. What gives? It's easily the best in my opinion and all my friends who play Hitman think it is as well.
I'm not saying "your opinion is wrong!" or anything, I'm just surprised.
Lost Odyssey was like the older Final Fantasy games and it was miles better than FFXIII in my opinion.
You're basically saying "we shouldn't expect them to be as good these days" but why shouldn't we? Square Enix dropped the ball, plain and simple.
I love Final Fantasy as well but XIII was a massive let down in my opinion.
Each to his own I guess.
Ninja Gaiden 3 is looking a bit disappointing at the moment. I feared this would happen when Itagaki left Team Ninja.
It just looks really basic and easy at the moment, but I'll reserve proper judgement until I see more. Hopefully there'll be a demo at some point before the game is out.
As for the gore - there's plenty of blood but no dismemberment any more.....I don't get it.
Neither are really problems though. It's just mostly fanboys nit-picking when it suits them.
I didn't think it was exclusive, just annoyed that the Wii U version is the only one I've seen people talk about.
Are there any videos of it running on other consoles?
By the way I didn't think this game was exclusive to the Wii U, I was just annoyed that the Wii U version is the only one being spoken about.
All I've heard about Aliens Colonial Marines over the past couple of days is about the Wii U.
What about all the people who have been waiting for it on the other consoles? Can we have a little info on the game in general please, some gameplay would be nice as well.
I'm not solely basing it on SE's current performance though. It's very hard for any developer to remake a game that's held in such high regard and actually do it right.
Heck, even the addition of voices could alienate a lot of people, but they'd have to include voices these days.
I basically have always thought that the only thing they should update is the graphics (and obviously add voice acting) and keep everything else the same, but som...
This game does look sweet. The idea is so much better than the first one, and the visuals are awesome.
