Exactly this. Dont waste time, money and resources on FFVII, its still great to play today as it is. Instead concentrate on making the next Ff as good as VII was.

When Microsoft did it I was critical of them. In the interest of fairness, even as someone who is firmly in Sonys camp, I feel its only right to be critical of them too.

Since I only plan on owning a PS4 and since I have no interest in petty childish console wars Im not the least bit excited about how much more powerful the PS4 is.
Dont expect a release until 2015. Working on a new console takes time. If it was being released this year we'd have seen gameplay by now.

GOTY editions include all DLC, since they've only released one of three planned DLCs so far dont expect an announcement. Im thinking GOTY version for Christmas 2014.There wont be a huge number of new games released for PS3 so a GOTY version of Tlou fills a gap.
Id expect that on a new generation machine theres more of a gap, you're working with new tech, new assets, whole new ball game. The first title on PS4 will probably need that extra year. Im thinking E3 gameplay announcement then Spring 2015 release.
Also no Tlou for PS4. It would cheapen the appeal of PS Now as Im sure you'll need to pay for that service and they'll want their biggest games like Tlou, Uncharted, Gow and GT6 to kick that service off.

You're assuming I WANT to game on PS4 with a second screen. I dont. I dont even want to game on Wii U with a second screen since no developer has shown me a reason its worthwhile.
I want a Wii U, I truly do, but the fact that only 1-2 must have games come out for it each year and no 3rd party support means it would only ever be a second console and £250 is too much for a second console.
Im looking at Pc gaming but the though of building one is daunting to me. Im a console gamer all my life and love the idea of plug and play easy gaming. Steam machines might provide that I hope.

It doesn't work that way. They sell the hardware at a loss because once you've bought a couple of games they've made that up. If they had a killer game that sold shed loads of consoles even at a loss most people would buy at least 2 games, negating the loss.
Trouble is name me a killer game for Wii U? Mario hasnt done it, I dont thunk Mario Kart will, nor Zelda which is at least a year away at best, and SSB....dont even get me started.

Im amazed at how small the casing is. Theres big vents on the back to pump hot air out but Im stil amazed it cools itself so well given how tight everything is inside.
Agree with both of you, having something in place definately helps. Im certain the only reason my 60gb launch PS3 still runs is because its always been upright on top of the cabinet not inside and within 5 feet of a window so it gets any air flow when the windows open.
Everyone has different set ups so its finding the best solution that provides the best airflow for you.
