Both MS and Sony (to a lesser degree) need to make for damn sure these next gen consoles are more reliable than this generation has been. People have had to deal with too much BS this gen regarding quality. There's been the RRoD and the YLoD. I myself got the YLoD on my 40GB phat PS3. It pissed me off to no end. We shouldn't have to worry about these consoles breaking down so much when they cost upwards of $400 at launch. It's asinine!!!!
We shouldn...
I still plan on buying it, regardless of issues. Ive never played any Elder Scrolls games. I'll still get it. I'm probably gonna trade in MW3 for it.
@disagree
Ok, ok. I guess since someone disagreed with my post, now I'm not gonna get it. hahahaha /s
Resistance 3 was far from a "stinker." It's a good game. Sure, it's not as good as Uncharted 3, but it's still great.
Well I've got to say that if they haven't figured out the Cell after like 6 years (or more) then they obviously need to figure out a new career. Figuring out how to develop on new consoles is part of being a game developer.
@BattleAxe
Thank you. At least you understand. IF they don't go with a Cell-based design again, then they're gonna have trouble making all of our bought content from the PS3 work on the PS4. I'm pretty sure that Sony...
They'll definitely continue those franchises, but since we're talking about Sony, you're also guaranteed to have tons of new IPs too. It won't be the same three or four franchises over and over and over again. Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian, LBP, etc. all prove that Sony is willing to take chances with new, different, and compelling franchises. They're willing to give money out to smaller developers to take a chance and possibly have a winner on their hands. LBP i...
So, basically, you're saying keep spoon-feeding you the exact same games you've played for 15+ years?? Come on, man. I think new IPs are in order at this point. Yeah, I'll admit, Sony and MS pump out the same games, but they still manage (especially Sony) to pump out tons of NEW IPS also. If you keep letting Nintendo recycle games and never come out with new ones, they're gonna do it. It's easy money for them.
Man, you gotta hand it to Sony. Securing tons of unique exclusives is their forte! I'm excited to see what this game is.
They give people the funding to make their creativity come to life with unique games like LittleBigPlanet, The Last Guardian, and Heavy Rain.
@Ryudo
Well, that's what I meant. They secure tons of first party studios, which in turn gives them tons of exclusive games.
I'd bet it'll be between Skyrim and Uncharted 3. Although, Batman may take it. Who knows. I know it would be crazy awesome if Uncharted got it again after it got it back in 2009.
Yeah, I've not experienced any lag at all. And, word has it, that we're still gonna get that free copy of Battlefield 1943 that we were promised.
Either way, whatever console you get it on, it's still a better buy than MW (Insert Number). lol
But isn't Kinect Adventures a pack-in game? Kind like Wii Sports? Those sell alongside the device, so it's not quite the same as say Halo or Gears, which are bought separately from anything else.
Why a disagree?? It's true. People want those things, but most likely Sony's gonna wait for the PS4 now, so that they'll work across the board in every game and they'll build them INTO the system.
The things that people complain about that don't come are features like cross game chat and a party system, but I'm sure they're saving those for the PS4. The Vita does both of those, so we know they're coming, but most likely for the PS4.
Aren't the TWO analog sticks a pretty big difference? How about the touchpad on the back? And the much larger screen? And.....the list goes on. lol The 3DS suffers a lot from the name not being different enough from the DS. It sounds too close. The PS Vita has a MUCH different name than PSP. People will know it's something entirely different.
I'd almost bet money that Sony STILL won't charge for online multilplayer for the PS4. I guarantee they won't. That's their biggest selling point for PSN, the fact that it's FREE. They'll probably just do like they're doing now with PS+, where you actually GET something for your $50 a year--you get games for your money, not just access to the online portion of your already bought game.
And Sony doesn't NEED CoD games. It's g...
Yeah, all the features everyone complains about not having aren't coming until the PS4, I"m sure. The Vita has shown us that Sony will bring us cross game chat and a party system, but it'll likely not be until the PS4.
I hope the PS4 and 720 come out in the same year at the same price (hopefully $399). It's gonna get interesting, if so. Kids are gonna be duking it out at their local WalMarts and Best Buy stores. haha Fanboys gone wild. ...
Crash Team Racing was amazing back in the day. I actually bought it from PSN awhile back. The graphics are pretty bad, but the gameplay is still solid.
Let's hope you're right. I mean, if 360 only people want to play FF, then they just need to buy 13 or 13-2. Versus 13 will be the true next-gen FF game where the developer actually took the time to squeeze every last drop out of the PS3's architecture.
Yeah, it's sad, really. Bias can be a bitch sometimes. I truly hope the PS4 and Xbox 720 both release in the same holiday season so that that "console war" can start at the same time and then we could truly see which brand holds more relevance in gaming.
There would be people fighting like crazy. Little kids screaming at each other "Xbox is better!! No PlayStation is better!! ...." bahahaha Would make for some interesting Christma...
Something that kind of nullifies some sales are system failures. Those are unaccounted for and make up a lot of the early 360s (RROD) and at least a small percentage of PS3 systems (YLOD). I myself got the YLOD on my early model 40GB PS3 phat. I could really care less about sales though.
I care about games, and Sony seems to be the best lately at delivering that. There's been over 10 or so exclusives this year from Sony for the PS3. And several coming next yea...
This should be good. If it sells for the same $60 and we get all the dlc on the disc, it's a great deal.
