It is a very smart marketing move for them. However, in the end, it all comes down to who has the best games. Sony has the most exclusives, as well as new IPs. Microsoft recycles their games like Nintendo. I'm not saying Sony doesn't do it too, BUT they seem to branch off more than MS and Nintendo by supporting new IPs such as Heavy Rain, MAG, The Last Guardian, 3D Dot Game Heroes, etc. I just wish MS would spend all that money on more first party studios. I don't know why t...
PS2 Classics and PSP2! Boom to the power of Boom! lol And you can play PS2 classics and PS1 classics on the PSP2. That would be insane! GTA San Andreas on a portable system!
If that's your way of insinuating the PS3 has no games, sir, you're sadly mistaken. Comments like that are unnecessary.
@ pwnsauce
Don't be a dick. I prefer the PS3 also, but there's no need in being immature and starting a fight over it.
the reason the Wii does well at $250 is because it is an entire console. Natal and Move are add-ons. They will be more price sensitive.
The Move's price will be the determining factor for its success. If it has a bundle with a Move, the PS Eye and some party games for $99, that will be a lot more enticing than the Natal if the Natal really costs $150. Really, the Natal needs to be around $75 for it to penetrate the market like the Move (pun intended).
All I know is if Natal costs more than $100, it will not do that well. No matter how you look at it, the Move will look like the better buy if Natal is really $150 like some have suggested. Most people aren't going to care you only get one controller if that's the case; they'll buy the Move because of price. Plus, for people like me who already have the PS Eye, it will be aLOT cheaper to just buy a couple Move controllers.
There's a lot of people like us out there that still see no reason to pay for something that's free on PS3 and PC. I'll stick with my PS3 unless the 360 goes down to $99 with a harddrive included.
I miss that damn game. The day Sony releases PS2 classics on the PSN, that better be one of the first. That and Vice City were so damn fun. Hell, I'd even take a HD remaster of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas on one blu ray with trophies. I don't know what they did with GTA IV that I hated, but for some reason the fun factor went right out the window for me. I bought GTA IV (on PS3) and I traded it in after a couple months. I was able to play the aforementioned GTA's for y...
You do know the most recent figures put the 360 at 40 million units and the PS3 at 35 million. I don't think either can be called a flop. That being said, I'd bet the number of 360s in people's homes are much closer to the PS3's 35 million due to the fact that there are probably thousands of people who've had 2 360s at the least. Everyone on this site can probably think of someone who's had 4-5 360s. That's just unacceptable.

You'd think everyone knows, but sadly they don't. I work at Walmart and a guy that works for me is very adamant that the PS3 has "NO GAMES" and that said games are all shit, which is completely wrong. So, maybe this list will enlighten some people who are ignorant.
Yeah it's not like MS didn't rip off Nintendo's Mii's either. See, it can go both ways. Also, Home is different from Second Life, mainly since it's FREE! Home could be very revolutionary and I think it will be, in time. Be patient. I'm guessing it will hit its stride near the end of the PS3's life cycle and be an integral part of the PS4.
A $199 PS3 would definitely knock it out of the park for Sony, but it's just too early into its product cycle for that. At $299, it seems to have hit the sweet spot; it's consistently in the top ten of Amazon's video game bestsellers list. If anything I can see them keeping the $199 and $250 prices and replacing their existing hard drives with 250GB and 500GB, respectively. That would be just fine with everyone, I'm sure. As everyone above me has said, it's already a b...
The only Final Fantasy I've ever played was FF8 and it was awesome. It had towns, a world map, airships, and side missions, such as looking for Chocobos in forests. I hope FF Versus 13 stays PS3 exclusive so we can see those again. It's just simpler on the PS3. It can be up to 50 GB and it's all on one disc. Plus, something that many forget, is that blu rays DON'T scratch like DVD's. If it comes out for the 360, I'm gonna be one of those people who doesn't bu...
It's probably like Journey to the Center of the Earth (the one with Brandon Fraser). It came with four pairs of red/blue glasses and had a 3d version and 2d version on the bluray. Of course, it's the crappy version of 3d, not the Real 3D that's the new standard. I was at Best Buy the other day and I got to demo Monsters v Aliens with the real shutter glasses and I was very impressed. Once 3D goes mainstream, it's going to be great!
Hey I didn't know you were on this site too! It's me from DLB-Network.com The next Xbox had better include some form of higher capacity disc. There is no need in us having to change discs in this day and age. The PS4 will probably have a quad layer BR disc holding 100gb running at 16x speed. Imagine a game of that proportion!
I agree. I'd love to see a PSP2 that's basically laid out just like a Dualshock controller with a screen. Then it could play PS2 games when they come to the PS Store just like the PSP1 plays PS1 games from the PS Store. Imagine playing San Andreas on your PSP2. That would be sick!
And pray to God that it stays exclusive. Actually, I don't really have a problem with it going multiplat as long as they fill the blu ray completely full with towns, airships, sidequests, etc. etc. THEN, they can port it over to the 360 with sub-par graphics and 4-5 discs. There's no excuse for making a game less than what it should be just to accommodate another system. Period.
I'll invite you sometime when I'm playing Cod4. I sold MW2 awhile back since it felt like a step back from Cod4. I don't think I'll ever let go of my Cod4 copy. I also just picked up Modnation. Very, very fun game.
I'd love to see the E3 conference being streamed in Home next year. Now that would be awesome!
