@Kayant
I disagree. I'm not naive enough to think this is more than PR doing their job but I have to admit that there's a point to be made.
Honestly, I would struggle to tell you the difference between half of the multi-platform games that have been released so far.
I think that to that end, his point was more along the lines of saying that the outrage/trolling has far outweighed the actual perceived differences between the consoles ...
"Amazing how something factually running at higher resolution or framerate becomes 'perception' just because you can't notice the difference."
Erm, that's kinda the definition of perception...
Not sure I agree with you on that. I've bought more Arcade games than I can count based on a really good trial of the game. Can't remember of any arcade games I bought on 360 that I bought because of a review and not actual gameplay.
Excellent! Definitely miss this functionality
@Alexious
It literally took me 20 seconds to Google that. All I'm saying is that the writer could have taken the time to do the same and reference the GDC site and press release. It's really not that big of a deal. It just helps to see that the numbers aren't just plucked out of thin air.
Here's the source:
http://www.gdconf.com/news/...
How can someone write a story up like that without a single link to the source?
I like the site - there's usually some good reads on there.
I know it's just to bloat the hit-count, but a single article absolutely does NOT need to be spread over 15 different pages.
How is being able to share a digital game with family "anti-consumer"?
This was one of the more promising ideas that fell by the wayside when Microsoft changed tact. Glad to see it might still happen.
@MysticStrummer
With some context; I've noticed that there are an awful lot of posts from NextLevel which just seem to be anti-Microsoft. I just don't understand the hatred, that's all.
Don't you take a break? Why do you hate Xbox so much?
I won't say much about the multiplayer but the single player campaign of Halo 4 was really good. I've been a fan since CE and loved every minute of 4.
I understand the size is huge but if it's anything to do with the SDK updates I'm happy they are updating their games to utilise it.
Why is this getting approved? There isn't a source or verifiable piece of information in the lot.
From the article:
"4J Studios and Mojang have officially stated that the Minecraft Xbox One version is quite inferior to the official PC version of the game, but they state that they’ve made it as close as the possibilities of the console let them make it."
I seriously doubt anyone at Mojang called console versions "inferior".
Well that was immature. Well done.
So why is this news highlighting it? I'm confused.
This is something MS started doing with Xbox One.
Signing in from a different console and still having access to your saves without even thinking about it is very cool.
It'll be a good feature for the PS to have :)
This is completely off-topic but does anyone else think that Achievements are holding much less weight as they used to on 360?
Could be that I just don't care all that much any more but it seems like they aren't displayed very prominently on the dash or anywhere that would make me competitive...
