The reasoning for the patch is apparently that they'd filled up the disc and wanted the rest to be a download rather than a second disc. It's mostly MP stuff from what I've read.
Wow this has been reported into oblivion. I wonder why... ;)
Also, I'm curious to see if it'll ever get approved...
So have the Xbox issues. See the report. This story can be removed.
@annoyedgamer
I'll bite. Then what? If more people are digitally downloading than buying physical copies and they see a business case for switching to one sole model for delivery, what might the problems be?
hmm... I'd argue that your name should be "EASILYannoyedgamer" .
I've found EA Access to be very worthwhile. You don't get new games for free, only a back catalog. Where's the harm in that? Plus you get new games discounted. I've played a ton of BF4 and Madden before buying FIFA15 and getting the discount. I can't find fault with the service.
The seemless product notion seems like a sound reason for the patch. Since it's multiplayer only (mostly) the logic is reasonable enough, too.
I'm just trying to figure out if I should download and give over 60-70gb of my HDD to it or buy the disc and have it only be 20-25gb.
Gotta disagree. I love the story and all of the different points of view and backstories the books and comics have presented. There's a lot of content there with a pretty decent universe set up.
Sweet. Been looking forward to the dash (home screen?) customisation!
When the store is usually supposed to be closed, they have some people in to play the game.
It comes from the same idea about a bar - after closing time, they'll lock the doors with some people still inside:

Yeah I know it's only seconds to set up but for someone who isn't savvy that's not really an option. I once tried to get a relative to set up the 360 controller (it originally needed a separate driver install) and that was a nightmare.
It's cool that you can customise all the functionality though. The lightbar/battery indicator is a great idea.
That's a lot of messing around with drivers.
The 360 pad works via usb and wireless, and the XONE pad works via usb - both out of the box. Why not just grab a 360 pad on the cheap? Or a second-hand XONE pad? They're excellent controllers.
Granted, they lack the touch pad which is nice but I don't think any PC games would be using that...
Then again, if you have a DS4 already this is a nice option to have. I would hardly say it...
"EDIT @ ASKANISON4
Go to the bathroom playing remotely was all I got"
Eh, not exactly a system seller.
I can't watch the video atm... any chance you could give a rundown of their Pros and Cons?
Team?
"LAWL, YOU GAEV MONEIS TO THAT COMPANY INSTEAD OF THIS OEN I ARBITARRAILRY LIEK? WOW U R DOMB"
Why wasn't this marked as a duplicate?
I was in the process of reporting it for Bad Editing when it got approved.
It absolutely flew through approvals.
Yeah, "brutal" was in reference to the work required to release simultaneously.
Also, they said the parity clause *might* stop them releasing. Article has been spun from understandable and frank talk from an indie to flame-bait
Yeah I'd have to agree there. I'm not ignorant of the shortcomings of the Xbox but I wouldn't swap mine for a Playstation. Don't get me wrong, I used to love them but for me, the Xbox does all I want it to.
The TV and media stuff is top notch and I use it as an all in one box in my living room.
On top of that, the games that I prefer are the exclusives on Xbox. Of course there are ones that I miss out on by not having both but I don't mind that so...
So anyone who is reluctant to splash out on a luxury item like a VR headset is lazy?
I work. I will be getting an Oculus, regardless of what it'll cost... even then, I can tell you that your statement is seriously ignorant.
traumadisaster:
From what I understand, it's mostly online portions of the game in the patch. I.E. stuff you'd need a connection to use anyway so it won't be detrimental to it if you don't.
