Bus speed is simply the amount of data (measured in mhz) that can be transferred across the bus.
The GPU generally does not handle AI, physics simulation or counts. That is CPU bound.
There's a reason games with more AI and are open world require a beefier CPU. That's why GTA V requires an i5 minimum for decent performance.
The GPU handles the textures, resolution scaling, shaders etc.

Just because the parts are outdated does mean anything. The CPU in the x1x is extremely outdated. A low end pentium desktop CPU is more powerful than what's in the x1.
