VGG: Mass Effect Review

Nick Arvites of VGG recently reviewed Mass Effect. Here is part of what he had to say,

"Mass Effect has managed to take everything great about the prior RPG games BioWare has created and set the bar even higher. I haven't felt this compelled to play an RPG in years. This is primarily due to the fresh feel of the universe and BioWare's stellar job of writing the dialog, and getting the voice actors to properly convey it. I've already finished the game once, and I'm getting ready to go through it again in order to take a different route here and there. While there are minor nitpicks on the technical side, my score doesn't detract for them because they weren't critical failures and they are overshadowed by the simply amazing game BioWare has created."

Pros:
* Incredibly engrossing RPG
* Deep universe
* Excellent Dialog
* Solid plotline

Cons:
Minor nitpicks (loading skips, texture issues)

tbh it wud a be alow to gaming if mass effect didnt get these 10/10 as i wil send a message that people that play consoles are more focused on casual games and also it wud show reviews also liek causual games how can a run and gun game even beat a game liek oblvion in any way in temr sof score how can a platform game beat a game like mass effect on score (it didnt im just stating) but that how i think when i game pushes thing to the limits and dos it well it deserves praise as does mass effect oblvion had extrememe glitchs bu ttio me as a game it is amazing but hey im arpg fan at heart and a shooter fan 2nd

i dont own a PS3,i own a 360.so that makes me a 360 fan.It just happens to be that i have a soft spot for uncharted (i havent played it but liked the cinematic feel).And your actually correct,most reviews are positive and at the end thats what really matters.

Anyway hope you will be enjoying mass effect in a couple of days like i intend to.Been waiting for the game for to long.

I can't wait for the next ps3 review to get lambasted with slowdown, graphical hitches, stuttering, pop in and the like... I'm gonna just say it's "minor nit picking" from now on.

I love these biased reviews. They give you all the fodder you'd ever need in any console fanbase fanboy war. I don't care what side of the fence you're on. These reviews are sickening and insulting to anyone's intelligence. Bar closed!

Issues such as slowdown, graphical hitches, and stuttering are much bigger issues when the game is bad or just average, but when a game is really good, those intermittent problems don't seem as bad.

Gamesblow and his constant whining. Anyway another solid hit for the 360. It's official. This game has an average of 90% above. AAA!!!

These bugs will definately be ironed out once the PS3 version is released.
