GameStop lists Catherine release for 26th July

Well, this might be something of a U-turn. BeefJack was told recently that Catherine wouldn’t be hitting the US, but a GameStop listing – which has since been removed – suggests otherwise.

its only a matter of time before they release it in the US. this is one game i would pre order for sure. it looks interesting, unique and just all around something different.

Trust Atlus to promote a game about a psycho girlfriend by telling you one thing yet doing another. Muck like a psycho girlfriend would.

Just hope they don't go the magic psycho girlfriend route. Send puzzle dreams to their fans that could kill them.

why would they release so much info to the US if they wern't gonna release it here....why would they put it on 360.....why wouldn't it since there are so many SMT fans that the demand is high enough for it.....they would be crazy not to release it

No info was released to the US on Cathrine. Nearly every bit of info that was released was something translated from sites or magazines covering the game in Japan. There has been very little official information about the game coming from ATLUS's US branch.

That said It will more then likely be coming here and probably sooner rather then later. The 360 thing is a good hint because they would have never bothered with a 360 version had they not intended to have a US release(it could also be testing interest on that console for the eventual release of Persona 5)

I know alot of people have been saying it makes no sense for them to tease Cathrine after having said they had no plans. But that no plans stuff is all PR crap. Think about how there was no plans for FFXIII on xbox 360 until it was official and how there were no plans for Tales of Graces F in the US until it was official. They are not gonna just say oh yeah it's coming when they want to tease it and have a announcement. It takes away from the hype and isn't nearly as fun.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but Namco Bandai never said the reason Tales of Graces F was coming here was because of a petition. No petition as far as I'm aware has ever made a dev change a plan or something. The voices of the fans sure but not a single petition.

The game is coming out in the US because Namco Bandai doesn't want to give up on the series in the US. If the series can gain a foothold in the US again it will help them ALOT and in many peoples eyes Tales of Graces F is the best way to do that as it's a game we have yet to get in the US and it's on the PS3 which has the most die hard J-RPG fans.

Regardless of all that the point I was making still stands. They were asked many times if there was plans for Tales of Graces F coming to the US(even days before the official announcement) and they always responded no plans and that's what I'm getting at here. They had fun with fans and teased the game until it was official and just coming out and saying Oh yeah it's coming out is not nearly as fun and doesn't hype up the fans nearly as much.

It's exactly what Atlus is doing right now. They were asked days ago if they had plans for a US Cathrine release and they said no and now there are many signs pointing to that they do indeed have plans to bring it over and what it's doing is creating excitement and hype from the fan base which is a good thing.

It won't be exclusive. It's already listed at my work for both systems at EB GAMES. Coming out in July.

I don't know even why someone would disagree, but, I posted in the other Catherine thread saying I was going to post pictures of my pre-order screen (didn't bother because I knew they'd announce it today and make it redundant), but, they disagreed in that post too, lol.

It's confirmed just like I said it would be coming in July on both systems.

Man if I weren't lazy I'd beat a bunch of people to the punch about this kind or news. It's been in our system for over a week. The prince of persia/splinter Cell/tomb raider trilogy were listed before they were announced/rumoured here as well, lol. There's some other little listings that haven't popped up here as well. Like some game called Majesty 2 for 360 and some other ps3/360 listings.
