The game is getting worse reviews mainly because it's a shorter game. Probably why they added the MP mode in to round out the value. I'm still excited though.

Same thing happened when the original was released. RE2 received accolades but RE3 got decent reviews. I skipped it for that reason but I'm glad I did because I can just play the remake. If the only nitpicks are being short and more of the same then that suits me perfectly.

^^^ From another reviewer who gave it a 7/10. This seems like an odd comment unless Capcom completely blew it here. I see a lot of comparisons to RE2 and the scrutiny us much higher for some reason.

Mr X was a small part of Resi 2 that got overblown in the remake. Nemesis only showed up sporadically in set pieces in the original Resi 3. I’m so glad they are sticking to the original.

Feels like IGN is overrating this. I have no doubt that this game is going to be great but unlikely the masterpiece that last year's RE2make was. This came out just over a year later and a reviewer says it can be completed in 6.5hrs - so obviously it was in co-development. Obviously there's going to be re-used assets and copied & pasted mechanics. And considering RE3 was a bit more action-orientated and a bit less survival horror than RE2, I can't see RE3make being any better than RE2make.

Still, this is a day one purchase for me :)

So glad Nemesis isn’t as bad as Mr X. All the gimps saying they wanted to be chased into save rooms haha they won’t even be chased at all. Best way too, this is a horror game not an action game.
