the animations are terrible and should have been more of a focus than working on halfassed same-sex relationships lmao I don't have a problem with them adding same-sex relationships in these games but when it's rushed and disjointed then that's when the problems arise for me. Do it right or simply don't do it at all.

naruga2399d ago (Edited 2399d ago )

at least is between women and they didnt include a Minotaur fing Alexandros...like in the ridiculous Dragon Transgender Age

Daeloki2398d ago (Edited 2398d ago )

"at least it's between women..." Are you serious? Why should it matter if it's there or not?

I'm looking forward to the fake outrage over this same sex relationship issue as what we've seen with TLoU2. or...maybe we won't because it's a multiplat

jznrpg2399d ago

I don’t want to explore any sexual relationships in games generally unless it totally fits the game .

michaelknight352399d ago

i agree but you know this is world we live in now

fathertime44642399d ago

It actually does git this game. In the Greek and Roman era's it was extremely common for man on man relationship. It was actually a form of make bonding....

The 10th Rider2398d ago

He didn't specify same-sex relationships, he said "any" sexual relationships.

I agree with @jznrpg. If it's important to the story or something then whatever, but it just looks out of place in the video above. Not because of the setting or anything like that, but the transition from dialogue, to them supposedly having sex, and then back to dialogue is just awful and looks completely out of place. That doesn't need to be in the game at all. They could have just left it at suggesting things.

fathertime44642398d ago

@ridet
So what your saying is that the Witcher games have too much pointless sex?

EazyC2398d ago

Me neither but if it's optional then whatever. I'm a bit worried RDR 2 might have something like that

Atticus_finch2398d ago

Worried? you might be thinking about it too much.

fathertime44642398d ago

Well generally speaking sex has no real purpose in a game or otherwise other than for an artistic stand point, distraction, or just for plain old fun.
He'll only reason for it in real life is for the same other than procreation. Let's face it not many people have sex to purposefully have kids now adays anyways

Attitudes like yours need to die.

Origins was the most successful game in the series and was enjoyed by millions. It was one of the better games I've played this generation. But, no, because you don't personally like it you think it shouldn't exist.

Chocoburger2398d ago

As a huge AC fan up to part III (yes I'm aware of the criticisms of part III), Origins was a boring, bland, generic, sloppy, open world run-of-the-mill hack and slash adventure game.

Pointless story, bad combat, dumbed down freerunning (less options available than the earlier AC games!), and copious amounts of repetitive grind filler "content".

Content for the sake of content.
Game sales for the sake of game sales.
That's what AC has turned into.

Docmortem2398d ago

@Chocoburger That is what Assassins Creed always was ... It is in its essence a grinder game and always was. That was at least my first impression when playing AC I and all following games. I was like ... cool I get to conquer a district ... whats next ... oh wait ... that is all I do for the rest of the game?

NicSage2399d ago

2018 is the year of the lesian. Lez of us 2 then oddsassins cringe

Atticus_finch2398d ago

Judging by your comment, it's also the year of the incel.

Happily married with three children.

Atticus_finch2398d ago (Edited 2398d ago )

Stop making comments that make you come off as something else then.

The Open-World Genre In Gaming Has A Quantity Over Quality Problem

More developers need to focus on what makes open-world games like Elden Ring and RDR2 pop, instead of focusing on needless map expansions.

KyRo238d ago

Open world games need a overhaul in general.

Go here - kill this target
Go here - fetch this
Clear this camp
Add dozens of filler side quests
Tack on a RPG skill tree
Finish up with a couple of hundred collectables

98 percent of open world games follow this game design and it's boring now after nearly a decade of following this same design.

anast238d ago

Maybe they know what it takes to make an engaging open-world, but they won't. For most publishers, managers probably get bonuses for finding ways to cut corners.

IAMRealHooman238d ago

yes. Every ubisoft like is overly large map. just to say it's huge with nothing in it.
Love'em or hate'em a yakuza game is a significantly smaller map, with a lot of side activities and absurd quest lines.trying the different restaurants in game can be enjoyable as they offer different buffs, do that or make traversal so good you wouldn't dare fast travel ie Spiderman

YourMommySpoils238d ago (Edited 238d ago )

Stellar Blade says hello.

The only quality game to come out this year.

exputers238d ago

While true, that one's not a full open-world. Pretty much like God of War Ragnarok.

YourMommySpoils237d ago

Not sure how everyone judges this. If that's the case, that would mean even The Witcher 3 isn't open world and just semi maps slowly unlocked.

Technically, we wanted more money.

bradfh518d ago

Call of Duty already does this; Ubisoft and other game companies will follow suit and explore similar approaches.

Kaii518d ago

Congratulations, A technical error In displaying ads while playing.
EU consumer law needs to chew these assholes a new one.

TheColbertinator518d ago

At this point the entire EU commission must be bribed

Christopher518d ago

The big note here is the built in ad-displays during gameplay and not that they happened. Start screen, cool. Gameplay? That shouldn't ever happen.

Yi-Long517d ago (Edited 517d ago )

"Start screen, cool."

Uhm, no. Start screen very much NOT cool either. There really need to be new laws implemented banning these companies from shoving ads down out throats at every opportunity they see fit.

Crows90517d ago

For free to play which is a market of games needing monetization through different venues. In those games this stuff is fine by me. But when you pay ..20, 40 ,60, or $70 that's when it is not okay to any degree.

jznrpg517d ago

Start screen not cool either

walken7518d ago

They're testing the waters, vote with your wallets.

porkChop518d ago

That's not a technical error. An ad can't be displayed mid-game without you creating the code/tech to make that possible first.
