Push Square: "Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is a prime example of a title that lives and dies by how entertaining its gameplay is. Fortunately, the stylish hack and slashing that's on offer here is worth checking out if you're a fan of the genre. Despite its low budget feel, this is a Japanese indie game that delivers on what it sets out to do, and the result is a focused and satisfying release that's perfect for a quick fix of over-the-top action."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "I thought Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae was going to be yet another abysmal port of a random mobile game, and while I was glad I was wrong, this is not exactly a very fun or engaging game. It's just a very shallow hack and slash game with some decent controls and gameplay, and nothing else."
This Friday Limited Run Games is adding three new games to their library, Astebreed, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, and Pang Adventures.

Certainly a game that needed polishing and fleshing out rather than receiving a straight port.
