Sorry, but I'll take the Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition instead. It's pretty obvious what Capcom is doing, they're putting DmC & DMC4 up against each other to see which one sells better in order to determine which direction to go. Either Original DMC or Reboot DmC.

I choose Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.

I pooped a smile once it looked like this :)

Now I'm wondering how cranked up DMC4: Special Edition graphics is.

I would imagine it'll look like the PC version. It's a gorgeous game. Easily one of the best looking games when it released.

Yeah I really want to get Devil Mary Cry 4: Special Edition, hopefully it's 1080p 60fps like DMC Devil May Cry is going to be. I think I might get both. DMC4 is the only DMC I have ever played. I have it on PS3 but I never finished it even though it was really good. I don't really get why Dante isn't the main character in it but whatever Nero is really awesome and he's voiced by one of my favorite voice actors, Johnny Yong Bosch. I have watched a let's play of DMC Devil May Cry and it's completely different than DMC4, it feels like they combined Evil Delsin(Infamous Second Son) with Dante to make a punk Dante, but I might get it too since I haven't played it before.

i think they wanted to change up the action a little. dante will keep the same moveset so adding another character will change the dynamics of the game.

i was never really any good at dmc games and nero just made combat feel easy and dante was like the hard mode,

DmC: Devil May Cry - So Good They Named it Twice

DmC: Devil May Cry launched 10 years ago to critical acclaim, but caused a significant stir amongst fans of the series.

SDuck827d ago

all in all, it was the 2nd most replayed by me (first being dmc5)

Godmars290827d ago

Named it twice cause they lacked imagination.

No matter how many times they try to push this game, I'll never play it.

But the PR keeps pushing it and pushing it when other DMC games are better and sold better.

Lol that’s absurd. You must be a real charmer.

Sgt_Slaughter826d ago (Edited 826d ago )

Ah we're at that point in time where failed games end up being needlessly defended and pushed as "underrated" or "gems"

There's a reason this caused Capcom to go back to the traditional DMC franchise.

DMC V became the top selling game in the series by a longshot. Even the team was more eager to make a new DMC game rather than try and continue the DmC reboot/spin-off and listened to fan input for V.

cue the puff pieces for Ninja Theory. Like what we saw happen with Deathloop and Tokyo, the MS marketing team is starting the hype machine early. So we see the revisionist history with their past games. Suddenly it's the best in the series lol. They've never made a bad game, they've just never made a successful one. Now, right or wrong because of the timing, their new game has the extra pressure of being the face of GP in 2022 alongside Starfield and Redfall. A lot of pressure for a studio that made its last game with 30 people. Let's hope 4th time's the charm

It sold poorly it’s why we have DMC5 instead of DmC 2 and from what I’ve been seeing of that Anarchy Reigns clone from Team Ninja I think it was for the better.
