The Valorant community is nothing if not diverse. While some players like to complain or shock others with some controversial stances, other players find creative ways to fix some disliked features in the game. According to some Valorant players, the Shop demands the most urgent changes.
One Player Offered a Comprehensive List of Changes for the Shop
One devoted player, nightfury1_, took to Reddit to suggest some much-needed changes to the Valorant Shop. This player offered some interesting ideas on how to make the Shop better for all the players. Their first idea was: “New skins every 12 hours. 1 forced reroll of Night Market after half the time, also make its duration shorter again, not almost a full month, max 2 weeks”.
They also suggested the addition of a wishlist that could feature up to five items and double those items’ chances of appearing. As you probably know, those chances would still be extremely low, but if you’re lucky, they might just help. Also, the OP thinks that getting a free reroll every three days would be just amazing.
This player also suggested: “Another weekly quest that gives you a coupon that lets you reduce the price of one skin by 10% up to 3 times per skin. Could also be stored to give an additional -10% (max -50%) on Night Market items once per skin”.
Valorant Community Radiates Cinicism
As you might have predicted, as it is unfortunately common in the Valorant community, these suggestions were met with a mocking tone. Lots of players agreed that these ideas were cool and useful, but called out the OP for wishful thinking. One player, infinitesimal6, noted: “Reading this is like reading a kid’s wishlist to Santa. Cute but impossible”.
Other players offered some harsh truths. One of them, charizard_72, insisted: “Why don’t some people in this community understand the shop is working exactly as intended by Riot and making them tons of money? You wanting that skin, and you not getting it IS the shop working as intended”.
This player added: “They don’t want you to get all your “wishlist” skins in 6 months and be done. They don’t want your $20 for the one skin you’re waiting on. They want FOMO buyers because that’s what’s making them rich off Valorant”.
Other players were less harsh but still agreed with this point. One Redditor, crayongg_, noted: “I like it but it probably won’t happen, unfortunately. The only thing I truly want is a way to continually earn Radianite after completing the Battle Pass. Plus a way to get credits without purchasing. Doesn’t need to be a ton just something so you can save up to buy the skin you want”.
Sometimes it can be disheartening to see an enthusiastic and helpful player be treated this way. Due to its size, the Valorant community can sometimes overlook some really great qualities in its members. We, for one, would love to see some changes made to the Valorant Shop, as it can get frustrating waiting for what we want. A Wishlist is one of the best ideas we’ve seen in a while. How about you?
