The ever-evolving landscape of Valorant showcases players’ ingenuity and adaptability. Despite developer efforts to streamline gameplay, some enthusiasts have discovered a renewed Neon Boost on Breeze in Valorant. This revelation demonstrates the community’s persistent passion and commitment to pushing game boundaries, even when faced with updates and patches.
Neon Boost on Breeze: An Unexpected Advantage
Traditionally, choosing Neon for the Breeze map might be only some players’s instinct. At first glance, her kit must harmonize with the map’s layout and features. However, the developers removed this tactical boost, as they hadn’t intended such a move to be possible. Ardent Neon supporters don’t easily give up. Their perseverance has led them to master a jump boost maneuver, allowing Neon to access zones on the map that other agents might find cumbersome.
Initially, a player had to rely on an ally’s precise positioning to execute this jump boost near the A Site pyramids. Neon would sprint towards this teammate, using her slide ability at the edge. The developers nixed this tactical boost as it became clear they didn’t intend such a move to be possible.
Despite the patch, Neon enthusiasts have yet to be deterred. Valorant streamer and devoted Neon player Temet recently showcased a modified version of this boost. The principle remains familiar, but it now requires the ally to execute a timely jump as Neon slides, propelling her atop the pyramid.
Not the First Neon Boost to Get Snipped
While this newfound technique has grabbed attention, it isn’t the first time players have explored ways to boost up Neon. A trick discovered in 2022 allowed players to achieve a similar aerial advantage by dashing and sliding into an ally from a specific height. This was promptly patched out in November 2022, as Riot felt such mechanics didn’t align with Neon’s intended gameplay, even if they resulted in spectacular in-game moments.
Neon isn’t the only Valorant agent to exploit pyramids to boost on Breeze. A peculiar glitch enabled Jett to ascend the structure merely by spamming the crouch function. Like the previous ones, this bug didn’t remain in the game for long.
It’s unclear whether Riot intends to address this new Neon maneuver. What remains evident, however, is the relentless creativity of Valorant players, constantly pushing boundaries and exploring the game’s potential to its fullest.
