Valorant Current Map Pool

If you are looking for the current Map Pool in Valorant, this article has it all. Since the release, Valorant’s active pool of maps has been changed a few times with new Episodes or Acts. This gives developers a way to introduce new maps and rework older maps before returning them to the game.

This is a common practice in competitive FPS games and developers use map rotation to keep the game feeling fresh. Valorant had many map pool changes in the past, but it’s always exciting when a new map is introduced. Especially, when that new map is accompanied by the return of a fan-favorite map that was out of the roster for quite some time.

Valorant Map Pool Rotation

Valorant has an active map pool that is constantly changing, usually with the release of a new Episode or Act. This means that some maps will leave the pool and will be replaced by new or returning maps. This is a great way to keep the game feeling fresh and prevent it from becoming stale. Especially because the returning maps always go through a bit of change before returning to the pool.

This time around, we get the new map Abyss which was added to the unranked map pool with the release of patch 8.11. Additionally, Abyss is announced to enter the competitive map pool when patch 9.0 arrives. The following maps are in the current Map Pool in Valorant:

  • Ascent
  • Abyss
  • Bind
  • Haven
  • Icebox
  • Lotus
  • Sunset

Maps That Are Not Currently in Map Rotation

Because only seven maps can be in the active map rotation in Valorant, some maps are unfortunately left out. However, they will probably return with future map rotations, and knowing Riot they will get a map overhaul before rotating back in. For now, this is the list of all maps that are currently out of the Map Pool:

  • Breeze
  • Fracture
  • Pearl
  • Split

Console Map Pool

Riot Games is starting its Valorant Console Limited Beta test on June 14, 2024. During this limited Beta test, a reduced map pool is prepared for the new console players. This will allow for shorter queue times and will not overwhelm new players with a bunch of maps to learn. The following is the list of maps that will be available during the Valorant Console Beta test:

  • Abyss
  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Haven
