Stellar Blade is coming to PS5 consoles this April, and players are wondering if they can grab the game on PS Plus. We have the answer here. Read on for everything you need to know as we near the game’s release.
The release date for Stellar Blade is fast approaching with just a few short weeks left until its launch on April 26. Pre-orders for the game are now open, offering up two game editions and a host of exclusive content obtainable with your purchase of the Deluxe Edition as well as a handful of pre-order bonuses. At present, we’re looking at a PS5-exclusive release with no word yet on a future expansion to PC or Xbox. With this in mind, many PlayStation gamers are curious if Sony’s hotly anticipated project will be available to play with PS Plus. Here’s what we know ahead of Stellar Blade’s launch this month.
- Pre-order incentive items: Early unlock of Planet Diving Suit for EVE, early unlock of Classic Round Glasses for EVE, early unlock of Ear Armor Earrings for EVE.
- Stunning PS5 visuals: Explore vibrant futuristic environments, and engage with a cast of original friends and foes from the creative minds of the SHIFT UP team, led by renowned artist Kim Hyung Tae.
- Ultra high-speed SSD: Explore new locations, overcome powerful enemies, and encounter jaw-dropping revelations as you advance relentlessly through EVE’s mission with lightning-fast load times.
- Adaptive triggers: Unleash devastating yet graceful acrobatic moves, and interact with the technological remnants of an abandoned Earth using the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers.
- Haptic feedback: Feel the thrill of combat as your blade slashes its way to victory, with sensations enriched by the DualSense wireless controller’s responsive vibrations.
Is Stellar Blade on PS Plus?
As it stands, Stellar Blade isn’t available to play on PlayStation Plus. While the platform’s library continues to grow, Sony’s new action-adventure title hasn’t made the cut just yet. With that being said, it was revealed that game is currently the most-pre-ordered PlayStation release, which certainly bodes well for its highly anticipated launch. However, it stands to reason that Sony might be looking to turn as much of a profit as possible, given the hype backing Stellar Blade’s arrival this month. And this isn’t exactly bad news.
The playable demo for Stellar Blade was released on March 29 following its (accidental) addition to the PlayStation website earlier in the same month. Since then, the post-apocalyptic title has garnered even more support, having already captured the attention of avid gamers with its announcement back in 2019. Although Stellar Blade has since undergone a rebranding of sorts, PlayStation gamers remain eager to get their hands on the game.
For now, at least, it looks like you’ll need to download the demo and place your pre-order for the full game if you hope to play. For more on the release of Stellar Blade, check out these guides from our team:
