Stellar Blade is set to launch exclusively on PS5 consoles later this month with no word yet on an expansion to PC or Xbox. While development duo Sony and Shift Up have changed the course of the game’s release since its original introduction as Project EVE, much of its setting remains the same. That said, it’s been made clear that the title follows a main character named EVE, but how much do we know about our lead prior to launch? Meet the Main Character of Stellar Blade, EVE
From Sony and Shift Up, Stellar Blade follows EVE, a 7th Airborne Squad member who has been sent back to Earth to reclaim the planet from the clutches of the Naytiba, a fierce and unrelenting species. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic semi-open world in which the future of humankind is uncertain following the Naytiba’s reign on their home planet. The remainder of humanity is housed in an outer space Colony, which EVE must leave behind to secure a better future for humans.
EVE’s Weapon
Armed with a one-handed blade dubbed the Blood Edge, EVE is a skilled fighter capable of dealing quick and strong attacks. Despite her training, however, she and her squad are overwhelmed by the forces that await them on Earth. She’s saved by a scavenger named Adam, who leads her to Xion — the last human-populated city on the planet.
Her Mission to Save the Planet
Alongside new companions, EVE makes it her mission to complete her objective: Wipe out the Naytiba. Her compassion and fortitude earn her the name “Angel” from Xion’s residents. While EVE arrived sure of her ideals, she learns that she must face much more than the Naytiba to achieve her aims.
