Looking to find out about if the Premium Edition of Starfield is worth it? Then you have come to the right place.
Starfield is Bethesda Game Studio’s first new universe in 25 years, and will be available in a few editions. Most people will gravitate towards either the Standard or Premium Editions of the game, and this guide will show players what is included in the Premium Edition and if it is worth it.
What Is the Starfield Premium Edition?
The Premium Edition of Starfield is one of the special editions for the game available for PC, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. It is one step above the Standard Edition, but below the physical Constellation Edition.
The Premium Edition contains:
- Starfield Base Game
- Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)
- Up to five days early access
- Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, helmet and Boost Pack
- Starfield digital artbook & original soundtrack access
There is also the Premium Edition Upgrade which allows Standard Edition owners and Xbox Game Pass subscribers to upgrade to the Premium Edition at an additional cost. The Premium Edition will cost $99.99, while the Premium Edition Upgrade will cost $34.99.
Is the Premium Edition of Starfield Worth It?
The Starfield Premium Edition is only worth it if you plan on playing the game once the Shattered Space Story Expansion is released, which currently has no announced release date. The difference between the Standard and Premium Edition is $30, and is not worth it for the cosmetic skins or to play it on September 1 instead of September 6. While players can choose to upgrade later if they really like the game, the upgrade pack will be $5 more expensive than if simply buying the Premium Edition.
